"Onee-chan?" The girl called out to the redhead who have been staring into the woods far off at the back, separated from the manor by a tall metal fence. Her eyes were narrowed down on a spot between two trees that were nearest to the metal fence which was about a good few meters away from it. She kept here eyes glued to the spot until she saw what she was looking for. There was a movement of a shadow in the forest. It was barely visible as the light didn't even touch the source of the shadow since It was hidden in the trees but it was visible enough for Mei.

"Come on, Suzai. It's getting dark, lets go back inside." She muttered as she took the fragile girl's hand as she slowly made their way back inside the manor, keeping the forest behind them within sight. The girl, though young, was not naïve. Its not like this was the first time Mei had visited her or something had happened to her. There was a reason as to why she was so close to the redhead and vise versa and that was because things would often happen and they started happening more frequently. She didn't know if Mei had not noticed but Suzai was very observant, of both her surroundings and the people around her. She knew if Mei had noticed something and so she would know if anything's wrong without actually knowing it firsthand. If there was something she always knew, it was that she shouldn't question Mei. She trusted her and she knew it would be best if she wasn't questioned.

The two of them made their way inside the manor quietly. Suzai's caretaker was alarmed by Mei's expression but caught Suzai's gaze. The little brunette held up her index finger to her lips, telling her to remain silent and the woman complied. They all silently made their way to the lounge, the caretaker locking up all the entrances and everything that can be locked in the manor.

"Michiyo-san, please go call the  rest of the team." Mei finally spoke, her voice low and careful. The said woman nodded her response as she scurried off to fetch the rest of team 7. Suzai froze on the spot and squeezed Mei's hand as she felt a presence stir inside her. She was almost scared that the enemies had done what they wanted to until she heard a familiar voice inside her head.

"Suzai." A low voice called out and the said brunette loosened the grip on Mei's hand.

"Suzai, I need to speak to Mei." The voice spoke again, sounding a bit more urgent and the girl nodded in reply. She tugged on Mei's hand and the redhead bent down to her height. "What is it?" She inquired, worry etched in her voice.

"It's alright. I'm alright. She just wants to talk to you." She whispered as she took both of the red head hands in hers and closed her eyes. Mei followed suit and she was instantly drowned in darkness and absolute silence. She strained her ears to find at least the slightest of noise but there was nothing. Panic rose in her stomach as she was not used to not having both her sense of sight and hearing. She felt like a unstable nuclear weapon that could blow up anytime and well, it didn exactly feel good. She was just about to explode when she heard a voice speak which calmed her down.

"Mei. Calm yourself." It stated, saying the name like it was foreign to it, its voice low and seemingly dangerous. It spoke with an urgent tone and the words came out like an order yet it was calming at the same time. Maybe it was just calming to Mei as she didn't really appreciate the absolute silence or darkness. It calmed her down to hear another voice, no matter who it belonged to.

"With all due respect, make it quick. Im not really comfortable in this place." She replied.

"Where is she?" It asked. "Not here."

"Well, that's not good. The man with the mask seems reasonable strong but the other three, well, let's just say I'm not so sure about them. They are through playing around. This wont be as easy as you thought it would be. Suzai chose you, I chose you. Do not fail me."

With that light filled Mei's eyes and sound came rushing through her brain. She was able to identify the slightest and even the barely audible sounds that were being produced. Her eyes were able to catch the slightest detail, the smallest things and she released a breathe she didn't know she was holing.

She looked up to see Suzai looking at her with concern. Though Mei had not mentioned anything to her, the girl always noticed how uncomfortable she was whenever it spoke to her. Even with her eyes closed and it talking to her, she could sense how unstable and afraid the redhead becomes and this always frightened her because she didn't know anything that can shake her up that bad other than speaking to it.

The girl staggered a bit but was able to steady herself before she collapsed. Mei wasn't surprised as she wa aware how taxing the act probably as for a little girl. She smiled as she pat her head and sent her off to bed just as the rest of team 7 came walking into the room.

"I suppose there's a reason as to why you called us all here?" Kakashi inquired as he took a seat, Naruto and Sakura following him while Sasuke remained standing.

"Theyre here. The ones who took the scrolls. I don't think they would be stupid enough to bring the scrolls with them but they're here and that only means that they're after Suzai." She stated, keeping her voice low.

"Well I guess we keep our guard up starting today. Tomorrow we start looking for a trace of the scrolls but not all of us can go. At least one or two of us should stay here to look after Suzai. Mei can't stay, obviously so Naruto and Sasuke, you'll be the first watch. Stay here and make sure she's safe while we go look for the scrolls. You are not to go anywhere and you are to keep an eye on her."  Kakashi stated. Naruto immediately whined and ranted out a string of complaints but soon quieted down and was forced to accept Kakashi's decision. Sasuke on the other hand, remained quiet but didn't seem as pleased with the order. He didn't want to stay here while the rest of the team was out and the fact that he was with the diot blonde didn't help at all either. As much as both of them would hate to do what they were told, they knew they had no choice and that just irritated them more. They sent a look of disdain towards each other before they both made their way to their own room, dreading the day to come.
