Hate at first sight

Chapter 8

Mei woke up in an unfamiliar place with her mouth gagged and her hands shackled to a wall of what seems like a cave which was of course, expected considering the last thing she did remember before passing out was being shocked senseless. She slowly scanned her surroundings and noted that she was neither armed nor unattended which was not surprising at all unless her captors were idiots.

"Hey there. Seems like you've woken up." A man with short and messy blond hair and golden eyes smirked as he walked towards Mei and held a finger up. Mei bit her lip until it bled to keep herself from releasing a pained shriek, as she knew that that was what the enemy was after and she would rather not give them what they want.

Mei released a breathe she didn't know she was holding when she felt the pain suddenly stop. Her vision was blurred and her head felt light. She couldn't process much of the sound that she heard but she was sure that the blond man was called deeper into the cave as he followed another man whom Mei couldn't quite see clearly, looking quite displeased.

Mei closed her eyes for a few seconds to recover from the shock and opened her eyes once more to scan her surroundings again. She shook her head slightly and restrained a smile that was about to crawl up her lips once she realized the mistake that her captors made. She didn't exactly know why they could afford to leave her unattended when she was awake. She knew she could make an attempt to escape but she didn't dare do anything risky at the moment. For all she knew, they might have set up a trap or some sort of seal inside of her. She closed her eyes to check if the latter was true and released a soft sigh as she felt something binding her chakra's center. Mei concentrated as she tried to break whatever seal was binding her chakra but ended up biting her tongue to prevent her from released a pained shriek as she felt a shockwave run throughout her entire body. The pain soon ended and Mei found herself dropping to the ground and breathing heavily.

"You made an awfully large mistake trying to break the seals missy." A voice stated as a pair of rogue ninjas appeared from the shadows. One of them was the blond man who was watching before he left to go somewhere and he was accompanied with the redhead that Team 7 met in the forest the night they went after Suzai. Mei said nothing as she tried to sit back up and simply scowled at her captors. "Still not so chatty eh?" The redhead smirked as he bent down to meet her eyes.

"Well since you're really friendly to us I'll just explain what your big mistake it." He stated as he grabbed a lock of Mei's red hair and pulled it back. Mei was still trying to recover from the shock and so wasn't able to suppress the grunt that came from her mouth as he pulled harder. "The seal we put comes with its own self-destruct. Try to resist and it activates." The man smirked as he let go of Mei.

"So what? I have a few minutes before I explode?" Mei inquired as she tried to remained composed and hide all the pain she was feeling, still not wanting to give her captors the satisfaction of seeing her in pain.

"I'd say in a few hours and more like the seal itself will release a shock that will fry you inside-out. But then if you do struggle we can always speed it up a little." He shrugged before walking deeper into the cave, leaving the blond man to watch over her..

Mei bit her lower lip. She knew that Kakashi and the rest of his team wouldn't leave her like that and it pissed her off. He was just going to charge in here with his team with some ridiculous plan and get everyone killed. If they didn't argue with her in the first place then none of this would have happened and now the situation is worse for them. Mei knew there wasn't anything she can do now but hope that she will come soon because if she doesn't then there is no way she can fight them at all.

Kakashi and Naruto were running through the forest, following kakashi's summoning, Pakkun. They have been searching the forest for hours but they cant seem to find the raven-haired boy that had juts mysteriously gone missing. Kakashi knew that he wouldn't stay still once he figures out that they were going to leave him behind to rest but he hoped that he wouldn't get lost or anything like that. He knew that there was a chance that he might be dead but he tried to push that out of his mind as he continued his search. He mentally scolded himself for not making sure that the boy would stay still and now all he could do was hope that they find him in time and alive.

The enemies have set a rendezvous for them for a ransom. Mei for the girl and the scrolls and of course, Kakashi didn't exactly plan on giving them what they want but they did plan to get Mei back. He planned to leave his genins so watch over Suzai while he goes to rescue their teammate his only problem was making sure that his students follow his orders and stay still which was very unlikely.
