Kendall rolled her eyes at the group of girls sitting at the table behind hers that kept calling out insults to Jade. August had flown by and they were now in mid-September and it had been crazy so far.
The students that had revealed to the rest of the school had been facing a lot of bullying and had been dropped by their supposed "friends" and of course, the school staff wasn't doing anything about it. Of course, not everyone was bullying and giving supernaturals a hard time, and some were very supportive, but the bullying was getting way out of hand.
Kendall still couldn't believe Principal Banks did that. She used to like Principal Banks and thought that he was someone that cared about his students but not.
"Witch," one of the girls called out to them. "Witch bitch."
Were they in kindergarten or something? Those girls had been yelling insults at them all lunch and Kendall was ready to go over there and break their knee caps.
Kendall finally had enough. She turned around in her seat and yelled out, "Can you bitches shut the hell up?"
One of the girls stood up angrily and yelled back, "What did you just say?"
"It's okay," Jade said quietly. "Just let it go."
"No, I'm not going to let it go!" Kendall nearly shouted, giving into her temper. "Those bitches have been bothering you for years and they don't have anything else better to do with their pathetic lives than to make your life a living hell. It's time someone shuts them up once and for all!"
"Kendall!" Hannah hissed. "Are you trying to get into a fight?"
"Just sit down and ignore them," Jade ordered.
One of the girls was storming over to them and Kendall thought her name was Ashley or something and knew she was one of Jade's main bullies. She was so tired of Ashely always picking on Jade and wanted to put a stop to it. And Ashley was always trying to pick a fight with Jade every chance she got and was also known for getting into a lot of fights with other people.
"Kendall," Jade growled. "Sit down. Now."
Kendall didn't sit down. She was inexplicably angry and wanted to shut Ashley up once and for all. She had no idea why she was this furious but it felt like a volcano was inside of her waiting to erupt.
Everything was a blur as Ashely came up to her and they started screaming at each other. Kendall sort of blacked out as a boiling rage overtook her completely. She didn't remember what was said between them but she knew it only made her angrier. Then Ashely lunged at her and Kendall saw complete, crimson red.
It was a free for all fight from there.
Kendall and Ashely fell to the floor in a tangle of legs and arms and hair. She could hear screaming all around them and running footsteps as people ran forward to watch the fight. She was slamming her first into Ashley's face repeatedly then she felt someone grab her by the back of her hair.
Kendall shot up to her feet, swung around, freeing her hair in the process, and shoved the other girl back as hard as she could. The other girl screamed as she was sent nearly flying across the room.
Out of the corner of her eye, Kendall saw two of Ashley's friends rushing toward her, obviously intent on jumping her, but Hannah and Stephanie lunged forward and tackled the other two girls to the ground and they engaged in catfights of their own. Kendall glanced to see what Jade was doing and saw Jade was standing there, staring at the whole scene in shock.
Ashley was getting back to her feet and she and Kendall were immediately back to trying to rip each other's hair out of their head.
"Guys stop!" Kendall heard Jade yell out but she ignored her and kept going, too far gone to stop now.
A whistle pierced the air, the shrill sound causing everyone to cry out and clap their hands over their ears, causing all the girls to stop fighting immediately.
Mr. Jenkins and Mrs. Reid, two of the school's security guards, came rushing forward. A whistle was hanging from Mrs. Reid's pocket, telling Kendall that was her who blew the whistle.
Both of them narrowed their eyes as they gazed at them. Kendall looked around and saw how her friends and Ashely's group were disheveled and panting heavily.
Now the anger had evaporated and a sinking feeling formed in Kendall's gut as she realized what just happened and how much trouble she and her friends were going to be in.
"All of you," Mr. Jenkins thundered. "To the principal's office. Now."
