What a crazy dream, Kendall thought to herself as she got up that morning. She could remember every detail of her unique yet odd dream that night. She'd dreamed she shapeshifted into an eagle and flew over the woods.
She smirked and shook her head. Seeing supernaturals all over the Internet and Kameron shapeshift in person was starting to get to her.
She yawned and stretched, somehow feeling energetic but tired at the same time. She had no idea how such a combination could exist but it did.
She quickly brushed her teeth, got dressed, brushed her hair and braided it, then went downstairs to eat breakfast with her parents.
She and her family had a quick breakfast since her parents had to go to several meetings that day. Her dad was going to drop her off at school and she had to ride the RV bus home. Her father was the CEO of a travel agency and her mother was the owner of a popular retail store company so they had very demanding yet well-paying jobs so there were days when they had to get an early move on and today was one of those days.
On the way to school, Dad told her he was working to buy another car for her soon. She was relieved; she hated taking public transportation even though she knew Hannah, Stephanie, and Jade had to do it every day. Yes, she was spoiled, she knew that, but it didn't mean she didn't miss her car. She had a lot of memories with her car and for it to be reduced to scraps was heartbreaking. She hated having to depend on public transportation and having to work around a schedule that wasn't her own.
Dad dropped her off at school. After kissing him goodbye, she got out of the car and entered RCHS.
She walked inside and went straight to her locker. She was here earlier than usual and knew Hannah, Jade, and Stephanie weren't there yet.
"Hey, Kendall!"
Kendall turned around and saw Kameron running over to her. She was taken aback at seeing him approach her like this but also excited.
"Hey," she said back when he approached her. "What's up?"
"Is there any way you can come over to my house after school? It's important."
"Um. . .sure." She frowned. "Why?"
He looked around at the other students that were milling around in the hallway. "I can't talk about it here, but it is something we need to talk about soon."
"Is something wrong?" she asked, concerned.
"Not. . .wrong, necessarily, but it's serious. Please, just come over right after school because this can't wait."
"Okay," she said reluctantly, wondering what he could want to talk about at his house that he couldn't talk here.
"Thank you," he said.
More students started to fill the hallway and Kendall realized the bell was going to ring soon.
"Have a good day," Kameron said and started to walk away. "I'll see you after school."
She watched him leave. She had a gut feeling that whatever was going to happen at his house was going to be interesting. Whether it was going to be a good interest or a bad interest, she didn't know. She was hopeful it was going to be good, but with the way her life was going, it was more than likely going to lean towards the bad.
***
Kendall told Jade, Hannah, and Stephanie about Kameron asking her to come to his house after school to talk about something important and Hannah and Stephanie nearly lost their minds while Jade kept quiet.
