Turns out, I'm going to be gone on actual sports day, so here's an early oneshot! Tommy karate AU. TW: violence, blood, medical things.

-Third Person's POV-

"Get into fighting position!" Tommy bent his legs, put his fists up, and tried to look intimidating. "Three," he braced himself, "two," almost time, "one!" Tommy had been taking karate for years now, and had gotten in some tough situations.

The other person- named James -punched, Tommy put up his gloves, blocking it.

They weren't supposed to hurt each other, but, James seemed to have something else in mind. He was the annoying one who never listened or watched out. Tommy easily could have hurt him right then, but, that wasn't how it worked.

James struck, Tommy trying to put his gloves up, but missed. It hit his nose.

"Time!" The coach yelled. James scoffed and walked away.

Tommy looked over, and one of his friends was on a phone. He went over and sat down.

"Tommy, are you alright?" He nodded. "Your nose is bleeding now."

"Ran, I'm-"

The other had already walked away, and came back with tissues.

"Tubbo is calling Phil, he's on his way. Just wait a few minutes. Do you want to walk outside?"

"Ranboo, it's sparring time!"

"You should go up," Tommy didn't want his friend to risk getting punished because of him.

"I'm sorry, I have something to take care of," Ranboo turned to Tommy, saying. "I'm sure he'll appreciate me helping another student."

"Don't-"

Ranboo cut him off, "if he isn't okay with me making sure you're okay, he's not a good coach. I wouldn't do this if I didn't want to."

"Tommy?" He turned around to see Wilbur there. "Sorry, Phil was busy. What happened?"

"I just got punched, I'm alright." He stood up.

"Clearly you're not, you're almost crying." Wait, he was crying.

He tried to form words, but couldn't.

"Let's get going." Tommy followed Wilbur, waving bye to his other friends.

"Wait," Tommy looked out the window, "this isn't the way home." Laughing could be heard. "What are you planning?" Wilbur didn't reply.

The pulled up in front of an ice cream place. Wilbur got out, and Tommy followed.

"What do you want?" Wilbur asked as they stood in front of the ice cream machine.

"Mint chocolate chip."

"Good answer." They both got the same, then went to sit down.

They just...talked. Nothing else. They talked about everything, joking, deep-diving into serious topics, and discussing memories.

Even though it started off badly, Tommy ended up having an amazing time.

And, Wilbur couldn't help but be happy too, seeing his brother being his usual, joyful self.
