'Do you want me to come and get you from the airport?'

Three dots appeared on his screen. Then disappeared then came back again and disappeared again

'No it's going to be a late night flight. I don't want you to be out so late for this'

'There's no trouble for me I always like a night ride'

'It's really okay Alex I'll go back to my hotel with the girls'

'All right I won't press you. I got to go back to work'

'one day left'

'Less than a day '

Alex dropped his phone on his bag. The break was over. It was time he went back on the pitch and gather his girls for the final exercises.

They had been working for over an hour on stamina and drills, precision and decision making and now it was time for some fun. But first a big break to recharge.

Thus he texted Perrie, she'd be back that evening and he knew it would be really late or too early next morning but he really wanted to see her.

Alex felt that they got a lot closer in this week.

The whole week they had spent talking to each other getting to know one another telling stories that he wouldn't say normally to someone he only knew for 2 weeks.

And they were sincere. He really loved that about the texting it wasn't all jokes and flirting it was also conversations that he would keep with them forever, little secrets, little vulnerable moments shared with her.

So he was confident when he asked her that she would say yes, that she would want to see him as soon as he could just as he wanted. After all they had spent all this time counting down the days till they see each other again.

He shouldn't over analyze things.

All these conversations, the texting it was real. It wasn't just him. It most likely didn't mean anything that she wanted to ride with the girls.

He should focus on his plan more than anything. After all they would see each other again soon enough.

"Alright girls, I know I've been tough today. But we're gonna end this just as dynamically.

It's time for some competition."

He emphasized his last word. The girls gathered around him.

"I want to see who the winners are. The game is 1v1. Marina and Lex you're one team, Mel and Kara you're the other team. You'll take turns attacking and defending, the first team to break throughthe other team's defense 5 times wins."

"What do we win again?" Kara's smug smirk was on.

"Hold on now, you smug giant. I think you mean what we win." Lexie stood next to Kara staring her down, or more literally, up. Alex hadn't noticed their height difference between them again. Kara was a head taller than the blonde girl, but that didn't stop Lex from challenging the taller girl.

"Why don't you decide?" Alex suggested quickly. The girls burst into their own suggestions until Marina shushed them all.

"Losers pay for smoothies after this." All of them agreed.

"Sounds fair. Now..."

"You're coming too, coach." Marina stated.

Alex smiled, he loved that they kept including him. Even after the incident with Kara the last time.
