Perrie's pov

"Good morning everyone," Perrie heard Leigh's hypered voice while she was eating her breakfast. She was sitting at the hotel's restaurant that had a view of the pool and sipping her coffee slowly enjoying for once having the time to take her time with breakfast.

It was 5 am, on July 10th and Perrie and the girls had a big day ahead of them.

"As you know today is a very special day in mixerland..." Perrie looked up from her food and at her friend. Leigh wasn't talking to her. She was holding her phone to her face and was talking to it. "It's our Perrie's big day." she continued talking and Perrie focused back on her breakfast.

Something for the fans Perrie concluded and took another big bite of her toast and eggs.

"Pezza, how're you feeling?" Leigh-Anne was right next to her the next second and the phone was recording both of them.

Perrie had just stuffed her mouth with food so she couldn't speak, instead she looked at her friend with pouty desperate eyes.

Leigh-Anne burst into laughter and Perrie followed suit trying as hard as she could not to spill any food.

The phone was down now and they were both catching their breath. "What was the video for? Instagram?" Perrie asked once her mouth was free again.

"I was thinking snapchat. It's more intimate there."

Before they could go on with the conversation Jade walked in the restaurant and headed towards them with her own plate of breakfast. She set it down and came and stood near Perrie.

"Stand up Perriwinkle, I want to hug you properly."

Perrie smiled and stood up "Happy birthday baby." Jade hugged her friend as tight as she could. Perrie smiled into the hug. There wasn't anything that her friends couldn't fix, and today's melancholy about how she wanted to spend the day vs how she actually was, was an easy fix for them.

"Thank you, bub."

Leigh joined in the hug and Perrie couldn't help but giggle.

"Happy 23, Pez. I love you." Leigh said.

"I love you too. Both of you." Perrie whispered.

"Let's eat, we only have five minutes left." Jade broke the hug and started eating.

Leigh busied herself with uploading the previous video and soon they were on the car to start the day.

"How are you feeling Pez? Any better?" Leigh asked sweetly. Perrie smiled but it didn't quite reach her eyes.

It had almost been a week since she was at Alex's house. Since she felt like she broke his heart. Perrie really didn't know what else she could have done. She hated that she couldn't explain to him. She couldn't tell him that this party wasn't for her, it was 100 per cent for the publicity, and that her career needed that.

Perrie couldn't say that to Alex without telling him about her career. And he couldn't know. Not yet, not while they were doing so well.

"Same, really." She told her friend.

Jade grabbed her hand for support and Perrie smiled at her. "Has he been in contact?"

"We've been texting." Perrie nodded. "The beginning was rough, the texts were...weird. But it's better now."

"You know it's going to be okay." Jade tightened her grip to reassure her.

"I really hope so. Girls, I-" she took a deep breath in.
