[say the name!]

He wouldn't let go of her. During breakfast, he convinced her to sit beside him. He ate with one hand. He's lucky he was allowed to rake her eest day today.

"Satoru, I won't run away."

"Yeah, but you might disappear."

"I can't just disappear!"

"In my dream, you did."

She groaned. "That was a dream!"

"Yep."

This was often how their conversation went whenever she brings up this topic. They were now watching tv. He played a baseball game of her favorite team to make her stay. It's still approaching noon.

"Ah, right. I bought you jewelry. No velvety small box this time."

"When?" She was leaning against the back of the couch while his huge body leaned on hers. She feels his weight on her side as he laid his head on her shoulders.

"Everyday."

"What?"

"Whenever I thought of you, I bought jewelry then get bummed if I see a ring."

She crossed her legs and spoke, "All jewelry shops have rings. You frowned every time then?"

"Yeah. I'm traumatized by rings now."

He let go of her hands and walked to his room. She thought that he walked out to be emotional or something. But he came back holding a metal box.

"Open it."

She took it from his hands. It was quite heavy. She opened the box that was settled fittingly on her lap. It made a faint metal sound like a clang as she opened it.

It was filled with transparent boxes of necklaces and bracelets. All with ruby red and gold design.

"How did all of this even cost you?"

"I don't know."

"These are all so pretty."

He crouched down in front of her. "I'm sorry. Really really sorry. I shouldn't have fake proposed to you. And joked around with marriages too much. It made me seem like I was not serious."

She stared at his gloomy face. Shoko was right, this was a very new version of him. He's still Gojo Satoru, yes, but this is a side unlike what anyone's seen before.

He took both of her hand and kissed the back of it. She was extremely touched by the gesture.

"How did you know that?"

"I got a week of thinking time, I'm not an idiot."

"Are you really not an idiot?"

"You're right, I'm an idiot. I'm sorry."

She smiled. She felt happy knowing he realized what he did wrong. "I'm sorry too. I never have you and explanation. I was just really hurt."

"No, no, don't say sorry, it's my fault!"

"I don't want marriage... at least not now. I was really just... caught up with how happy they looked when they got married, then you kept joking around, so I snapped."

"Rightfully so! I was a jerk."

"Wow, really harsh with yourself now, huh?"

"You could leave me anytime, so why keep it hidden?"

That stung a bit. "You think it was easy, huh? I was awake until dawn!"

"Well, you should have slept, you get more grumpy when you're sleep deprived!"
