Over the next two weeks leading up to my birthday, I managed to read a few of my new books and every time I learnt something interesting or super cool I immediately ran downstairs to show my parents.
My parents, weirdly, didn't seem upset or worried about having a witch in the family and were excited to learn about magic as much as I was. I was worried they would treat me differently after but they acted normal and happy to be around me.
When my birthday finally came around, I received some money that me and mum took to Diagon Alley to get converted after a breakfast of pancakes. This meant I could also show my mum some of the cool shops and, after converting the money, I dragged her to Flourish and Blotts to look at some more books.
I was looking at a few books about powerful wizards when I knocked into someone carrying a very large stack of books.
Well, they were carrying a stack of books, now they were all over the floor with a girl with bushy hair.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." I cried, helping her up. "I should have been paying more attention. let me help you."
I scrambled, to pick as many of the books up as I could and we both ended up with half a stack of books each.
"Thank you," the girl said, beaming at me. "I'm Hermione, Its a pleasure to meet you."
"I'm Cassandra, but please call me Cassie." I beamed straight back, "Here, let me help you take these to the counter."
"That would be so helpful, thank you" We walked slowly to the counter, balancing the books carefully so they don't fall.
"There, I need to go find my mum now but maybe we should sit together on the train Tomorrow?" I asked, hoping to have made a friend already.
"That would be wonderful" Hermione replied gleefully, "See you tomorrow, Cassie."
"See you tomorrow, Hermione"

Unluckily, the ticket for my train was wrong. You see, how can you get to a platform that doesn't exist?
I stood staring at platforms 9 and 10 and huffed. Looking around, I tried to spot anyone else who might be in my predicament or maybe someone who did know where they were going. I had already said emotional goodbyes with my parents and they had tearfully gone to work this morning. Suddenly, I spotted a girl with short brown hair and glasses. She was arguing with another girl with bright pink hair who didn't seem that much older.
As I watched them, the older girls hair shifted to a bright blue. Not muggles. I hurried towards them.
"Excuse me, I'm sorry, but do you know how to get to the platform?" I asked hurriedly. "I wasn't really told."
"We were just arguing about that." The younger girl laughed. "My sister seems to think we have to run into that wall."
I looked at the wall doubtfully. "Are you sure?"
"Well, Nymphadora here thinks so," The younger girl grinned spitefully at her sister as Nymphadora's face went red with anger.
"Don't call me Nymphadora," She growled. "It's Tonks and this is Ophelia." She then added kindly to me, gesturing to her sister.
"It's nice to meet you," I laughed, "I'm Cassandra, but please call me Cassie."
"Wotcher." She grinned at me. "Anyway, I think my little sister forgets that I have been to Hogwarts before. All you need to do is run directly at that wall and you will go through to the train station. Ophelia can go first."
