Paul wanted to die so he could be with the Lord forever in Heaven but it wasn’t his time yet. He served the Lord by preaching the Gospel which is the Grace of God. He served and worshiped God until his very own breath stopped.
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21
Well, he’s one example for living for God and serving Him. And though he doesn’t have a family on his own and a wife…
So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better. 1 Corinthians 7:38
…he doeth better, for…
There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:34
…someone, who has the responsibility for her/his wife and children, is divided in attention at some sense. Raising children who fear the Lord is worship Him still.
I think I’m getting out of context, but still.
Nonetheless, those who are married are responsible for raising children and training up a children in the way they should go which is in God. And then the parents (before they married or in different circumstances, after) studies in the talent God given them to be able to support their family now (supposedly now/as if/if are). Which doing all this is not to vainglory but to Glorify God in their life.
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Hebrews 2:9-11Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 1 Peter 4:16
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.1 Corinthians 6:20
