Be ready and equipped of the work of an evangelist. Yes, I’ve been praying for this that God would improve me and be someone who's not afraid to do the work and ready for His use in anytime, anywhere.
By the way, can anyone know what the work of an evangelist?
Well, evangelist is someone who is used by God to Evangelize. Someone who proclaim, preach the gospel (the good news), someone who tell people the way of salvation.
Well, I shall take this opportunity to the do the work.
Okay, at first, we ask, why do we need Salvation? And salvation from where? What is the way, anyway?
You see, we are sinners. Yes, we are because we sin every single time of day. First from our minds, that works wonders of filthy thoughts in there, hating. Second, from what we say, examples for blasphemying the God’s name, using it as cuss and cursing the people who offended us and many more. Third would be the things we do, drinking alcohol, hurting someone, seen by people or done in secret which only God knows. And many more that we can’t mention now because I am running out of time. So this proves that no one is righteous, no one is perfect, no not one.
Sometimes we think that we are good people, but that doesn't cover the fact that we sin. And the payment of sin is death, death on the lake of fire.
You see, we used to have this close relationship with God, but because we choose our own ways, our own righteousness which clearly results otherwise, we disobeyed God when He said not to eat the tree of knowledge of good and evil and we did anyway. Because God is holy, He can’t be with sin, and because we love sinning, our relationship with God broke apart.
And that leads us to have this nature of sinning against God up to now. And death too which past down from generations to generations.
But because God is love, He didn't want us to remain in our sins. He did not what to see us end on the lake of fire. So He gave His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ to take our sins upon Himself and die the cruelest death on the cross, though He was buried, on the third day, He rose again, Victor over death and sin.
Because God is just, He is the good judge who despense justice. You see, we are sinners because of the sins we commit day by day. Our good deeds can't cover our sins. And because of this we surely be thrown on the lake of fire when we die. But because of the blood of Jesus Christ that cleansed our sins from before, today and the days to come. And that He died, was buried and rose again the third day for our sins according to the scriptures. Jesus is the perfect lamb for the redemption of our souls. Remember God is the judge, So when God sees us, He does not see the sin in us, but Christ who redemed us. And after we believed in Him, the finished work of Christ on the cross, that He died, was buried and rose again, we are forgiven and free from the prison of sin and we no longer doomed to the lake of fire, but has eternal life in Heaven someday with Him. We then are sealed by God the Holy Spirit, that tells us that we become the sons and daughters of God. Yes, we are justified.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ who is the only way, the truth and life and you shall be saved.
