chapter 3: welcome home charlie!

Elles pov
Tao had told me about the plans for Charlie's welcome home celebration once I woke up and I was very excited because I really missed charlie it was so empty without him. Me,tao, Darcy and Tara made a secret group chat without nick and charlie just so we could keep the planning secret we agreed that Tara and Darcy would be on snack duty, me and tao would be on banner making. Me and tao met up to go to the craft store to get a banner, markers and other decorations. We finnaly got back to taos house and set the banner on the floor. "So how are we gonna do this?" He said stroking his chin. "Well we could put welcome home charlie with a bunch of photos of us with him on it?" I suggested. "Elle your a genius this is why love you!" Tao exclaimed. "Yes yes I know I am pretty amazing but let's get to work on this poster" I said.

Tara's pov
Me and Darcy went shopping for treats for Charlie's welcome nothing too fancy though. "Hey Tara look!" I turn around and see Darcy dancing with 15 different hats on her head I couldn't help but laugh. We got a few cookies, cupcakes, a few custard Bowles and a few more things. We also went to Starbucks and got a few drinks. We didn't really have any idea what to do after until everyone was done with their things so we just stayed at the house. Me and Darcy had moved in together about 2 months ago and I don't regret it at all Darcy is the best girlfriend anyone could ask for.

Nick's pov
As me and charlie were walking to the car I texted everyone to get ready because we were on our way back. We got in the car and charlie said "nick I had an amazing time today and I feel so spoiled." He smiled. "Even getting caught in the photo booth?" I asked. "Yes even getting caught in the photo booth." he laughed. "Gosh I love you so much Nicholas Nelson." He sighed as he pulled me into a kiss.

Taos pov
Me and Elle got Nick's text so it was us against time and we had to make it to Charlie's house as quick as possible before they showed up. We arrived at Charlie's house and knocked on the door. "Oh you guys are 40 minuets late." Tori says as she opened the door. "Late??" I panicked "duh everyone's here before you guys we were waiting on the banner." She sighed leading us inside. When we walked inside Tara was messing with darcys hair and aled was on his phone. I sighed of relief since nick and Charlie weren't there yet. "Wait tori if we're 40 minuets late why aren't nick and charlie here?" Elle asked. "I tried calling nick but no answer." She sighed. "Well I'll call him Elle you and Darcy set up the banner." I say pulling out my phone. I try calling nick but as expected no answer so I face time him. He finnaly answered. "Nick where are you and why I'd your shirt off?" I ask. "Oh fuck!" He groaned. "Dude why is ur shirt off ur supposed to be here?" I asked again. "Wait were you two.. EWW IN THE CAR??" I screech disgusted. "just.. get dressed and head over bye." I hang up the phone. "Umm tao you look pale what's wrong?" Darcy asks me. "CHARLIE AND NICK WERE HAVING SEX IN THE CAR." I whine. Everyone turns their heads. "In the car??? Way to go nick!!" Darcy cheers. "Darcy!" Tara nudges her. "Well tao were all adults now so it's nothing new." Elle says rubbing my shoulder. "I know it's just I DIDNT WANT TO SEE IT!" I screech. "Shhh calm down tao." Elle says holding my head up to her chest. 20 minutes pass when there's a knock on the door. I run and open the door and see nick and charlie I give them a disgusted look. "Look tao ik your ver-" tao says as he's cutting off by us yelling "WELCOME BACK HOME CHARLIE!"

Charlie's pov
I was so shocked and excited to see all my friend's didn't forget I was home. "Oh wow everyone thank you this is so sweet." I said. They all come and hug me. "Thanks for the credit charlie but this was all nicks idea." Tao says. I turn around and look up at nick "You did all this for me?" I ask. "Of course I did." He smiles. The rest of the time we all hung out trying to refill the time we lost.
Then the celebration was over and everyone left accept nick. "Well looks like I have to go home" He says rubbing the back of his neck. "Or you could spend the night?" I suggest. " let me text my mom." He says. While waiting I go into the tv room to pick a movie for us to watch if nicks moms says he could stay over. "Charlie she said yes but I have to go grab my things." He said running into the tv room. "Yay!" I scream. "I'll be back tho you can pick any movie." He says walking out the door. "So Nick's staying here tonight?" Tori says as she stands in the doorway. "Yes." I say. "I'm surprised you didn't go with mum, dad and Ollie to grandma's." She said. "Well nick took me somewhere so.." I said while looking at the movie. "Alright just use protection and clean the sofa when your done." She laughs.
"Tori shut up!" I turn red. "Don't think I don't know what happened in the car." She winks. I face palm and get back to choosing a movie while she goes upstairs. A few minutes later nick knocks on the door. I get up to open it. "So what movie did you decide on?" He asked setting his bags down. "Well I haven't chose anything yet." I said. "What I was gone for 45 minutes and you still chose nothing???" He laughs. "Welp you can do all the work for me then." I sigh getting back to the sofa. I throw him the remote. "Fine then we'll watch... avengers." He smiles. "Absolutely not you know I hate that movie!" I yell in annoyance. "Thats just because you have no taste." He smirks. "Fine put it on." I give in. Nick turns it on, walks to the sofa, lays down and places his head into my lap. About 6 minutes into the movie I get bored and start running my fingers through nicks strawberry blonde hair as he's so focused on the movie. I feel like I'm gonna go to sleep soon.

Nick's pov
As we're watching the movie charlie gets bored and starts playing in my hair. A few more minutes pass and charlie falls asleep and the movies over so I get up and carry charlie to his bed. He looks so graceful sleeping I know that sounds kinda creepy but it's true. While he's sleep I sit on the floor on my phone so I don't wake him. I've had trouble sleeping for as long as I can remember charlie believes I have insomnia but I'm not really sure. Then at around 2:00 am charlie waked up for a little "nick? Your still awake can you come up here and lay with me?" He asks as his voice goes in and out. "Sure" I hop into the other side of the bed while charlie rolls over onto my chest. There's not alot of room since charlie doesn't have a big bed but we just got to be closer which was fine with me. Charlie soon falls asleep again while I continue scrolling my feed. I guess a few hours later I eventually fell asleep.

Charlie's pov
I woke up this Moring with a giant weight on me but I turned and realized it was nick hugging me real tight. I had to get up because I wanted to thank him for everything he did yesterday so I decided to get up early and cook for him. I walked downstairs and looked in the pantry for somthing to cook. "Why are you up so early?" Tori spooks me while drinking her lemonade. "Jesus tori stop doing that." I say dropping a rice bag. "No really charlie why are you cooking I don't want you to get triggered." She worries. "Tori im fine it's for nick not me." I get frustrated. "Are you sure charlie." She asks again. "IM FINE TORI GOSH." I lash out. "Alright then." She shrugs walking upstairs.
I just get so frustrated feeling like I need everyone. I decide to make French toast for nick because he's always been a fan of that.

Nick's pov
I wake up and see that Charlie's gone so I stretch and walk downstairs when it starts to smell delicious. I see charlie cooking somthing, I sneak up on him and hug him from behind. "I'm proud of you." I whisper in his ear and kiss him on the cheek. "Nickk I'm trying to cook." He laughs. "Alright, alright" I back off and sit at the table. Charlie then comes and places down French toast. "Whoah char this looks amazing!" He smiles. I start to eat the toast and it tasted amazing. Charlie sighs smiling at me. "Whot." I say mouth full. "You just look so cute" He says staring at me again. "Well can I get a kiss for being so cute?" I smirk. "No you have syrup all over your lips." He laughs. "Cmonn charr." I Say reaching across the table."nick!" He laughs. Suddenly my phone rings and it's my mum. "Hey Nicky you should come home now nelle and Henry need their walks." She says. "Could charlie come?" I ask. "I don't see why not." She says and hangs up the phone. "Were going to take nellie and Henry on walks." I say. "Alright let me get ready." He says walking upstairs.
