chapter 4:Big steps

{Nick's pov}
I've had alot on my mind lately about me and Charlie's relationship being together for so long. I've always known I wanted charlie to be in my future but recently my mom has been giving me hints she wants me to move out not in a rude way but she explains it as "leaving the nest and mummy bird will be proud of you." Which I know is nothing but crap. If I move out I'm going to miss my mum, Henry and most of all nellie but I wouldn't miss David at all so that would be a relief. After pondering I've decided to move out but I wanted to take a giant step and ask Charlie to move with me. I know what your thinking it's a life changing decision but me and charlie have been together since I was 16 and he was 15 now I'm 23 and Charlie's 22 so we've been together for a while and I think this is the right decision. I would have to ask a bunch of people before I actually do it like my mum, Charlie's parents and me and Charlie's friends. I really love charlie and I want to spend the rest of my life with him, I know he's the only one for me, he's just perfect and I don't even know how I ended up with an amazing person like him.
I decided to talk to my mum about the matter first "mum!? Mum!?" I yell walking downstairs. "Mum took your mutts on a walk." I hear a voice say. "David why are you here?" I ask. "What a man can come to visit his family?" He smirks. "No you cant." I say. "Well I didnt come for you I came to introduce mum to somone." He says. "Who?" I ask. "Babe!" He yells as he walks to the door. I look outside to see a blonde woman with blue eyes wearing almost no clothing. "Yes baby?" She says in a hazy voice running to the door in tiny steps. "This is Brittany, I met her while in New York." He says wrapping his arm around her. "Babe this is my gay brother nick." He says. I give him a disgusted look. "Omg! He's so like, adorable nice to meet you I'm Brittany!" She squeals while holding her hand out. I shake her hand and say "nice to meet you Brittany." "Omg babe you know what since you moms not home i should just meet your brother!" She claps. Davis sighs and brings her to the dining room and I follow. We sit in silence while Brittany applies a whole lot of lip gloss in her tiny mirror and puts it back him her tiny bag when she's done. "So what's it like being gay? My 5th cousin is gay and he's like so fabulous so why are in a hoodie?" She asks. "Well I'm not gay I'm bisexual and I feel comfortable in my jumper." I sigh. I change the topic and ask "So what do you do for a living Brittany?" "Well I was a high-school drop out so now I'm just an influencer for makeup and I do clothing hauls, mukbangs and other things!" She smiles. "Oooh." Then she continued telling me about her makeup but I want listening I just wanted mum to come back. "So Nick since your bisexual do you have a girlfriend?" She asked chewing on gum. "No he has this twink of a boyfriend named charlie and he has a lunatic sister." He laughs. "Don't talk about charlie like that!" I yell. "What are you gonna do Nicky??" He stands up. "Charlie turned you into a soft little gay boy! What happened to nick who was a straight jock? The best rugby lad now your some soft boy." He yelled. David was getting on my last nerve so I jumped over the table and began punching him. He hit me a few times and we began fighting. "See look..your getting all worked up over that fa-" He was cut off when I punched him multiple times. Brittney got up and screamed. "Omg should I call 911..wait do they have 911 in the uk?? Wait mabey they do hmm." She stood there questioning herself while David rolled me over and started punching me again. Then the door opened and I looked up which gave David a good hit. "NICKY DAVID WHATS GOING ON!?" She yells. I get up wiping the blood off my nose. "David started talking about charlie for no reason again so I lost control this time." I sighed. "Nicky I've told you fightings never the answer now go upstairs and wash up now I need to talk to you David." She said as I walked upstairs to do as she said. After a few minutes of yelling coming from downstairs David left and I heard mum come upstairs. "Hey sweetheart I'm sorry about your brother he just needs to open his eyes and realize that you are who you are and he can't change that." She says holding her arms out for a hug. I hug her back because my muk gives the best hugs I guess that where I get it from. "Thanks mum it's just I was planing on talking to you today about somthing important but he of course had to ruin it like he doe swoth everything." I cry. "It's ok Nicky if you want we can still talk and I'll you that tea you like deal?" She says. "Deal" I say wiping my tears and we head downstairs. I sit at the table and hold Henry in my lap while nellie takes a nap under the table. "So mum I've been.. thinking about moving out." I say. "Thats wonderful Nicky and when your ready I'll help you with anything you need wether it be down payment, bills, furniture or all of it." She smiles while pouring tea into cups. "Thank you mum but I really want to take a big step in me and Charlie's relationship by asking him to move in with me and we get a house together." I say. She turns around, gives me my cup of tea and sits down. "Thats amazing Nicky and I think it's wonderful that you want to ask Charlie to take that giant step with you because you feel that way about him I think you should do what your hearts telling you then you should go for it because you'll never know if you dont try it." She holds my hands. "Thanks mum." I smile. I pull out my phone and text tao.

𝐓𝐚𝗼:very random but sure and why?
𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐤:because I have to have a chat about Charlie
𝐓𝐚𝗼: since it's about Charlie sure can I bring Elle?
𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐤:sure I'll meet you at the Starbucks around the corner from Charlie's
𝐓𝐚𝗼: sure.
I put on my shoes and my coat and grab my keys and begin to walk to the door. "Nicky where are you going?" Mum asks. "To start buck's to meet up with tao." I say as I walk out the door.
