NELLIE

2 months ahead.

I speed walk through the hospital corridors holding multiple files in my hands. I rush pass a few nurses, eager to deliver these files so I'd leave. My heart began pouring against my chest as I approached the familiar office door.

Dr. Vincenzo Stone.

I stand in front of his office door & raise my closed fist knocking on his door twice. I wait impatiently hoping he'll open the door at any second.

"Come in!" His deep voice shouted from the other side of the door. I gulped & opened the door revealing Dr. Stone at his desk.

"The files." I said as I walked further into his office. I softy placed the files on his desk & as I'm about to leave his office, he calls out my name.

"Sit down Ms. Wade." He demanded & I mentally cussed at him.

"Look sir, I'm exhausted. I've been here since 6 am. Can we talk tomorrow please?" I sighed & he leaned back in his seat, his blue eyes piercing into my brown eyes.

I noticed everything about the man sitting in front of me. His brown hair is neatly slicked back showing off his devilish handsome features. His eyebrows are perfectly done & his hairline is crisp.

My eyes trail down to his neck, I notice the tattoos peaking through the turtle neck shirt, his silver chain being visible as well. I stare at the man, I gulp at the sight of his veiny hands, multiple silver rings on his fingers.

My man looks better.

I am snapped out of my daze by him clearing his throat.

"No, we can not speak tomorrow because it's important." He spoke coldly as he pulled out a piece of paper. I sighed & took a seat on one of the chairs across from him.

He handed me the paper & I looked at the paper, my eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"What's this?" I quirked up an eyebrow & he chuckled.

"I did a little digging & it's came to my knowledge that you have a record." He crossed his arms over his chest & I stared at the man across from me in pure disbelief.

"A record of what exactly?" I sighed.

"Read." He pointed at the paper & I roll my eyes. I read the paper & a loud laugh vibrates from my chest.

"Seriously? I was in 6th grade & got into a fight with a boy. I cracked his skull with a brick but the charges were dropped." I laughed & he stared at me blankly.

"You have been digging deep in my ass huh?" I scoffed as I stood up from the chair.

"Ms. Wade-" I cut him off.

"Zip it." I glared at him & he smirked, amusement flashed in his eyes. I handed him the paper & leave his office.

"Fucking bastard." I whispered to myself.

Leo & I sat in his car at a empty parking lot as he rubbed my feet.
