Omniscient
"How was the honeymoon?" Ariana questioned Autumn. They were at her mother's house eating Sunday dinner. Her dad had grilled some chicken and her mom had fixed some macaroni and collard greens with cornbread.
"It was great. Let me show you some pictures." Autumn and her husband had spent their honeymoon in Turks and Caicos.
Autumn went to her photos and showed Ariana some of the photos from their honeymoon. They included the hotel room, the beach, and many more places there.
"I'm glad y'all had fun." Ariana gave Autumn the phone back after looking at the photos.
"Thanks, how is Amari?" Autumn questioned curiously. She had met him at her wedding and she liked him.
"He's alright." Autumn nodded, she thought he was a pretty cool guy.
"I like him."
"You do?" Ariana was shocked, she'd never liked any of her boyfriends.
"Yeah, why are you surprised?"
"He's not a lawyer or an accountant or anything so I'm surprised."
"So you think I didn't like your previous boyfriends just because they didn't have high end jobs?"
"Yep."
"That's not true. I didn't like them because they had no ambition to do anything with their lives but be in the streets or they just weren't trying to better themselves. Amari on the other hand, has that ambition that they lacked. Plus, I see how he makes you happy. I've never seen you this happy in a relationship. I'm really happy for you." Even though the two didn't get a long majority of the time, she still wanted what was best for her sister.
"Thank you." Ariana gave her a small smile. "I'll be back." Ariana got up to go talk to her mother.
Ariana found her mother in the kitchen washing dishes. "You about to go?" Ariana's mother questioned.
"No, I just wanted to talk to you about something."
"What?" Ariana's mother questioned.
"When we were at Autumn's wedding you were disrespectful to Amari and I didn't appreciate that. He did nothing to you for you to treat him that way."
"Treat him what way?" Ariana's mother questioned, acting as if she was clueless.
"Like he was less than."
"I don't think I treated him that way."
"Okay, well whether you think you did or not, you did. I plan on him being around for a while, so you're going to have to respect him."
"Hm." Ariana's mother mumbled. Ariana rolled her eyes, exiting the kitchen to go get her purse. She was about to leave, her mother had pissed her off.
"You about to go?" Autumn questioned, as Ariana grabbed her purse.
"Yeah."
"Alright, see you later."
"Bye." Ariana made her way to the door, heading to her car.
On the other side of town Amari was eating a sub sandwhich from a local sandwhich shop that was located around the corner from his job. He was currently on his much needed thirty minute lunch break. He was working a 12 hour shift today and he was ready to go home. He had already worked eight of those hours, he only had four more.
"Hey." Makayla, Amari's coworker spoke sitting next to him. She was one of the few workers he talked to, the others were messy.
"Wassup." Amari spoke.
