Chapter 20

Omniscient

"Happy anniversary." Ariana sung into Amari's ear. Today marked one year that they'd been together.

"Thank you." Amari smiled.

"Get up so we can go to breakfast." Amari and Ariana were celebrating their anniversary in Punta Cana. 

"Alright." Amari turned the covers back.

When the two were ready, they headed down to breakfast.

"This is nice." Ariana looked around. They were staying at an all-inclusive resort.

"It is." Amari agreed. This was their first time seeing all of this in person. They had flown in yesterday evening, so they hadn't been anywhere yet.

Amari and Ariana fixed their plates then went to go sit down.

"What you got planned for us today?" Amari questioned.

"We're going ATV riding, zip lining-"

"Zip lining?" Amari questioned.

"Yep."

"Nah, I'm going sit that one out. You can do that by yourself."

"Amari." Ariana laughed.

"You laughing, I'm serious. I'm not doing that shit."

"It'll be fun."

"No the fuck it ain't." Ariana rolled her eyes.

"Well that's all that I have planned for today. We can find places to eat."

"How about you let me plan what we eat for dinner since you planned everything else."

"Alright, make sure it's good."

"I'm not going to have us eating no nasty ass food."

"You might." Amari sucked his teeth.

When the two got done eating they headed back to their room to get dressed for the day. They had only slipped on some clothes to go down for breakfast.

Ariana decided to wear a Nike legging and tank set and some old Nike sneakers since they were going to be active. Amari was wearing a simple short set with some old Nike Huaraches.

"You ready to go?" Ariana questioned.

"Yeah."

"Alright, the Uber's outside." Ariana and Amari headed out.

Their first destination was zip lining. Amari was serious when he said he wasn't doing it. He was standing watching Ariana get equipment put on her.

"You really not going to do it?" Ariana questioned.

"Hell nah, somebody got to live to tell what happened." Ariana rolled her eyes. "Make sure you take some pictures."

"Alright."

Ariana began screaming as she began going down the zipline. She thought it would be fun, but boy was she wrong. Her heart felt as if it had stopped, she was scared. Amari shook his head, looking at her.

When she was done, she took a breath of relief.

"I'm never doing that again."

"Your ass was screaming loud as hell. Help me, Lord! Ahh! I don't want to die." Amari mocked her.

"Shutup, atleast I was brave enough to try it."

"Brave as hell, I wasn't getting on that motherfucker."

"Oh my gosh, come on so we can go ATV riding." Ariana grabbed her bag from him that he was holding.
