Namjoon was foaming at the mouth. His thoughts were scattered, with him being barely able to piece them together in order to retrieve a lucid image. In spite of consistently feeling gagged by the fear of bursting into a paroxysm of rage literally any minute now, the reason why Namjoon had continued to prevent himself from going ballistic was his regard for the public eye- which was onto its steady hike to the crest at the moment. Considering how the golden-orange shimmer radiating from the sun had slowly begun to peter out into the cobalt sky, it was about time people returned to their homes after a long day at work.
The doctor could not afford to lose his footing as a trustworthy medic as well. Already robbed off the luxury of being called a reliable friend, he probably was not in the headspace anymore to deal with another setback.
A sliver more than the amount of ordeals apportioned to him and he would crumble down like a marionette.
"Finally," He glared at the sheeny plank- that intimated him of the floor number that he had reached- first thing after exiting the elevator, stomping down to his apartment in an unmatched haste before bellowing, "Son Nora!"
"What's with you calling me by my full name these days..." Nora tilted her head sideways, clicking her tongue in incertitude.
"What do you do all day sitting at home," Namjoon yelled, rushing to the cupboards that had otherwise remained loaded with snacking items that could help him outlast an ice age, huffing, "emptying my hard-earned ration into that black hole of a stomach of yours!"
"Oh no, we're not doing this again." The woman, however, seemed far from admitting her guilt when she rather proceeded towards flopping into the nearby couch.
"Oh no, we're definitely doing this until you give me an update on senior." Namjoon mocked Nora, folding his arms across his chest as he stood in front of her, "Do you know what people have started to refer her to as behind her back? She did not study and work her ass off for ten years just so that random strangers could badmouth her as soon as the opportunity to do so showed up."
"People talk, Doctor, it's not a big deal. Moreover, if you were so bothered about them slandering your Goddess, why didn't you step up and give them a piece of your mind? Why shout at me and lecture me about work-efficiency and virtues instead? I, for one, am fully aware of what I should do and what I shouldn't, I don't want someone who doesn't even know what it takes to be an intelligence agent, tell me that." Nora finished, though there was not a trace of anger in her voice. Disappointment was what majorly constituted her emotions right then.
"You claim to be an intelligence agent and yet couldn't find a single clue apart from the one that I had given to you about Ewan. Are you sure you deserve to be called a detective? Because I doubt that-"
"Are you suggesting that we should look into Ewan for her disappearance? Well, I'm sorry to break it to you, Doctor Kim, but not everything revolves around your archenemy." Nora's unanticipated innuendo surely flustered Namjoon. The man could not muster a riposte as mortifying as hers for about a few seconds.
