"W—what do you want from me? I don't think I'll turn out to be of much help to you—" Namjoon's carping was interjected by a terse question hurled at him by Nora.

"What were you trying to do back there? Had you really trespassed into her property as she was claiming?" Nora had effortlessly prodded Namjoon with a quirk of her brow.

"Oh Goodness, not you too." He rolled his eyes in annoyance, resuming shortly after, "I only went in there because I had spotted something... unusual? There was a flickering beam of light— girth almost that of a torch's— coming from her chamber when she wasn't even there! That was when I decided to check out what actually was going on in there and broke into her clinic through that one window at the back to catch the intruder red-handed. Went in there with good intentions but look how tables have been turned." Namjoon dismally shrugged his shoulders.

"Was a person named Ewan around there somewhere too? Because she was doing all fine until he called her and told her something that caused her to rush down to the clinic. Now that I know the entire chain of events, I reckon that your impingement was the matter that he must've informed Doctor Shin about. But for that to happen, he ought to be a primary witness too. So, do you remember, whether you saw him within the perimeters of Doctor Shin's clinic or not? Because that would provide answers to a lot of our queries." Nora gave a rundown to Namjoon based on her recollections and speculations.

"No, he wasn't there. Apparently, senior has admitted him into the clinic's security system, and due to that only was he able to know that the structure had been compromised." Namjoon sneered, making Nora gape as she absorbed the essence of his narration.

"That makes sense. But there's one thing that I still didn't get... that why did he have to relay the security update to her? Shouldn't she have been notified about it too?" She suggested. Namjoon bobbed his head vigorously to exhibit his agreement with her.

"Because for some reason, an e-mail was sent out to the nominee but not the one who actually owns that security arrangement. And that too when I did not touch the biometric sensor, or even a goddamned nonexistent door knob for that matter. Moreover, as much as I'm aware, she has done nothing to secure the backside of the clinic, though it doesn't even require the measures to be honest— there are shops lined up after just a foot's distance. So tell me, Lieutenant Son, does all of it still make sense to you?" Namjoon imparted, concluding with a rhetorical question.

"You're right, that's odd." Nora remarked, her lips pressing into a thin line as she appeared to be deliberating about the incident.

"I know, right? Finally," Namjoon exclaimed, hauling Nora right before she was about to slither into a brown study, "finally someone who didn't dismiss me just because me being truthful frames that dreamboy Ewan as well. You made my day, Lieutenant, no cap. Please come in and seat yourself, I'll serve you a beverage."

Although Nora was not present to pay heed to Namjoon's insipid eyes for a substantial amount of time, the mirth that had now begun to scintillate in them spurred a surge of rhapsodies to inhabit her entire being. Wondering about the relevance of that display of delight to the settling of relief in the pit of her stomach, she unintentionally ended up shoving herself into observing Namjoon's expression even more pedantically. Her lips eventually curled into a slight simper, as she strove at the same time to precisely locate the stimulant that was responsible for such an unprecedented development.
