✧Chapter 17: The Weakest Link✧

❁(Y/n)'s POV❁

I opened my eyes as Faith takes away Jay's blanket.

Jay: "Hey! Whatever happened to breakfast being the most important meal?"

Faith: "We're getting closer to Firstbourne's nest. We'll eat when the son of the Spinjitzu Master has the Dragon Armor, and we are all in Ninjigo."

Zane: "It's Ninjago. It's really not that hard to pronounce."

Kai: "Ah, to be back home in a real bed."

Jay: "Mm. With real food."

Cole: "And cake."

(Y/n): "Oh! And with ramen noodles and more pastries!"

Cole: "Why did I ever give up cake?"

Jay: "Because your body is a temple?"

Faith: "What is this 'cake'?"

Cole: "Imagine all that is good. Baked until it's warm and moist. Then add a sweet, sugary frosting. That's cake."

(Y/n): "Man, now I'm hungry for that. I can make us some when we go back home. That's a promise."

Cole: "Really? Thanks (N/n)! You're the best!"

Faith: "You sound excited. But are you ready for what lies ahead?"

Zane: "You explained that the Firstbourne is awaiting the return of the First Spinjitzu Master. Being reunited would be a good thing."

Faith: "And what if it is not? Coming face to face with a dragon is one thing, but facing the mother of all dragons is a test you cannot fail. Our chains are our only means of survival in this realm. We live and die by these iron bonds and our mastery of these tools. Let me see you chain that rock."

She gives her weapon to Kai and then points to the rock behind us.

(A/n- in the show, she points to her right where the rock is found but I then decided to put it behind them. But I don't why I did that.)

Faith: "Don't worry, it will not move. It should be easy."

Kai: "Yeah, yeah. I got it. Watch and learn."

He shoots but it flings him back and the chains get wrapped around Cole. Jay started laughing at them.

Jay: "At least you got the master of rock."

Jay continues to laugh while I helped Cole get out of the chains. Kai gets up and looks at Faith.

Kai: "It was harder than it looks."

Faith: "Perhaps we should work on this."

After I got Cole out, Faith gave each of us a weapon to practice but there wasn't enough for Wu so only Me, Kai, Jay, Cole and Zane had one.

Kai: "All right, the first one to wrap their chains around that rock wins."

We all pointed the chains to the rock and fired. We missed the rock but then, Zane shot his chains and got it perfectly on the rocks.
