๑Chapter 9: True Potential๑

❁(Y/n)'s POV❁

We were at Laughy's. I was with Lloyd on the 2nd floor, in a room while the rest were doing karaoke down stairs. It was peaceful. I looked over at Lloyd, he looked sad after what happened yesterday.

(Y/n): "Lloyd, I... I know you cared for her as well as I did."

Lloyd: "What does it matter?"

(Y/n): "It mattered to us, Lloyd. We share this moment of betrayal but sometimes it comes back like that damaged paper. Sometimes you gotta move on."

I grabbed my bag and took out my notebook. I opened a page that had a few pictures of me, Harumi, and my two adopted parents. I remember everything we did at that time.

(Y/n): "We lost so many things that we forget what it is in the future. I've never met my real parents but I always believe maybe they are out there somewhere..."

Lloyd looked over to see my two adopted parents. All of the happy moments of my life came back to me as I smiled.

Lloyd: "You really cared about her, didn't you?"

(Y/n): "Yeah. I did. We both were happy before all of this as we grew up. I was always there for her but now... I just feel betrayed..."

My hand tighten around a picture of her and me just smiling. I could just feel anger as every memory of her and me popped on my head. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I looked at the pictures more.

(Y/n): "After everything I've done for her... I got backstabbed and never got the chance to get a happy ending. Everything just never goes to plan when ever I just want things to be fine but no! I just want a good life where nothing bad happens! That's all I want..."

The tears fell on the pages as I just didn't move. Lloyd put his hand on my chin as he makes me looks at him. He wipes my tears off of me while looking at me with his green eyes.

Lloyd: "I know things just won't go like you plan but... Things get better in the end. And you really never answered my question when we were in the cave."

(Y/n): "What question...?"

Lloyd: "Do you... Actually love me? Like love me in a way that you want me to be a part of your life?"

I didn't know what to say as I just looked away while I felt my cheeks turn pink. Maybe it's time to tell him the truth... I clear my throat as I answer his question.

(Y/n): "Yes... I actually loved you for a long time. Ever since I heard about you, I've felt strange feelings that I've been told to not interfere with. But I know what this feeling is... It's love. I love you."

Lloyd looks at me as he seems a bit shocked about this. I didn't know if this was good as I sigh in defeat.

(Y/n): "I understand if you don't like me back but we can always be friends-"

Lloyd grabbed me as he kissed me on the lips. My face turns red as I realized what was going on. A few seconds later, we pulled away from each other. I was speechless as I was struggling to think about what just happened.
