It's been 10 years since the Jedi fell and the Empire took control of next to everything inside the Galaxy, on Jakku however is the one place the Empire can't seem to get control over, everything they send down there, never comes back, well not in one piece anyway.
The Empire decided to just leave a few ships in it's orbit and if something strange happens then their to act on it but until then they are ordered to keep their distance.
It wasn't all bad though as young Luke Skywalker has grown to a fine young boy and under the teachings of one of the most powerful Jedi ever, maybe one day this Skywalker can bring balance to the Force, right now the young boy is helping Kyly repair their Land speeder...

... Luke has picked up Anakin's ability to fix anything and with Ardan's help he's become even more of a handy young boy.
Kyly: You did it!
Kyly cheered as BD stood on the hood and backflipped while Luke sat in the drivers seat having just recently turned the speeder on showing that he did.
Luke: We did it Mama!
Kyly and Ardan told Luke a few years ago that their not his real mother and father but he didn't mind and wanted to call them that, Ardan told him about Anakin not the Anakin that the Jedi knew but the Anakin that the world thanked for his help before he was brainwashed by the Chancellor.
Kyly: You are a brilliant little boy!
She exclaimed lifted the 10 year old out the speeder and into her arms, Kyly looked ahead as BD got her attention and told her someone is coming, she looked up to see Obi-Wan looking much older and kind of tired, Luke doesn't know who he is, he just knows him as Ben Kenobi.
Luke: Uncle Ben!
Luke hopped out of Kyly's arms and ran to Obi-Wan hugging the old man as Obi-Wan chuckled, Obi-Wan has kept his distance from time to time and as far as Luke knows, Ben doesn't know their Jedi's and is just a simple trader from in the city.
Obi-Wan: Hello there.
Luke was a happy little boy and was looking to be a powerful Jedi one day but today he's just a 10 year old boy.
Kyly: Come on in.
Kyly was followed by Luke and BD into their little home as Ardan was now where to be seen, Obi-Wan did come here to talk to Ardan but seen as he isn't here maybe Kyly can help.
Kyly: What can I do for you Ben?
She asked as they all sat at a table her now with a few drinks one for her, Luke and for Obi-Wan which they enjoyed with a little small talk but Obi-Wan has a small favour to ask of Ardan.
