After Luke and I parted ways, I walked inside and ran up the stairs. Closing my bedroom door and leaning my forehead against it, I couldn't smiling. I know, Luke did not ask me out on a date. He just asked me to go watch a movie with him, no reason given. Not like it mattered anyway.

He was just Luke Hemmings.

I moved away from the door and walked to my bed, falling on it and wrapping the blanket over myself.

My mum wasn't at home, she'd gone to drop off Lizzie's friends to their homes. Of course, Lizzie had gone too so I was alone at home. My quiet and peaceful home. All to myself.

I turn on my side and pick up my book off my bedside table. It was a book by 'Nora Roberts', and I know what you're thinking. "Oh my, god! you're so old fashioned and boring!". No, Okay? Nora Roberts is NOT old fashioned and she definitely isn't boring. I have half a bookshelf filled with her book, proof that she isn't boring. Not to me, at least.

As I turn the page, there is a knock on the door. Alarming me a little, for I thought no one was home.

"Yeah?" I ask, cautiously because I knew neither of my family members would 'knock'.

"Eliza, it's me. Chad." I hear, Chad say and let out a sigh of relief. See, I told you my family never knocks.

"Oh. One minute." I call, getting out of bed unintentionally. I mutter to myself about what he wanted. I swing the door open, leaning against it for support, because my legs were kind of asleep.

"Just checking on you." He nods and stand there, not saying anything else.

"Okay...?" I say, unsure and making things awkward.

"Eliza..." He sighs, rather frustrated. I stare blankly at him, waiting to see what he had to say.

"Okay, I don't know what it is that makes you hate me so much-"

"I don't hate you, Chad." I say, sympathetically. Feeling a little guilty because that wasn't true. I did hate him, not that much but I did dislike him.

"Thanks, but you make it a little obvious." He chuckles, making me smile uncomfortable and making me feel a little more guilty. Thanks, mate.

"Anyway, back to topic..Your mother wanted to talk to you about this but I told her not too." He says, rocking back and forth. Where is he trying to get with this conversation.

"Okay....Thanks?" I say, not knowing how exactly to react to him.

"Yeah...Who was that boy, by the way?" He asks, my eyes widening. Hey, look! More awkward moments!

"H-he's just a friend-... some guy I know from school." I scratch the back of my neck, not meeting his eyes. I didn't quite know how to place Luke, he wasn't my friend but he wasn't a stranger.

"I see. Seemed pretty happy asking you to go to the movies with him." He says, I immediately look up at him. Suspicion, filling me.

"I know how to lip read. My ex-wife was deaf." He says, answering my thoughts of him being some weird spy dude who might have attached a tracking device on me.

"Oh..That was..umm...Could you not tell mum? She's already pissed at me and has my phone. I don't want to get into any deeper trouble.."

"Why does she have your phone?" He asked, concerned. Making me roll my eyes, because he's the reason.

"Because..." The lump in my throat prevents me from telling him. "Because, we disrespected you last week..." I mumble, not being able to say it out loud. My face was red from embarrassment.
