The night was restless and it was only early in the morning that I started to sleep well.
I wake up with a knock on the door.
" Yes " I say
A woman dress in grey enter.
" Hi. I'm Mallory, sorry to wake you up but I've been ask to take you to breakfast "
" Of course. Sorry I didn't know we had breakfast at 8:00 am. I'll put some clothes on and come "
She leaves my bedroom and I urge to dress up putting the dress I had yesterday because I really don't want to piss Ms Venable off and discover her " unpleasant consequences " as she said before.
I make my way down and arrive .
" I see you finally decided to join us Ms Y/L/N " say the woman I fear
" Sorry I'm late but I didn't know..."
She interrupted me and says : " Sit. It will be the only time I let you be late and eat. Next time you skip the meal and I'll make you pass the need to be late "
I stare at her blankly, afraid to move.
" Understood ? " she asks
" Yes Ms Venable"
Oh my god. Where are we ? In jail ? Maybe she says that just to scare me and the others ? Well I don't want take the risk to discover if she meant what she said.
I sit down, next to her, and the greys bring a plate. Guess what ? A jelly cube. Well since I don't want to starve or make Ms Venable angrier than she already is, I eat it.
She dismisses us and I dare to ask her when is lunchtime. She answers " Afraid to know what punishment looks like ?" I don't answer because I don't know what to say. She says : "At noon precisely" and she leaves. Everyone went to the music room but I like my time alone and above all I like to read peacefully so I walk to the library.
After two hours of reading I went to my room to wash my face and get ready for lunch. I arrive in the dining room right on time. We eat and i talked with the other people. I then went back to my room and took a nap.
The rest of the day passed slowly.
For dinner, I choose a short lilac dress and put some makeup, with my hair loose.

As I enter the dining room, Gallant says " if I wasn't gay I would definitely fuck you "
" Thanks but I think I prefer you gay Gallant " I say laughing with him
" Nobody fucks nobody " say the familiar cold voice.
Everyone stop talking and wait for Ms Venable to tell us to sit. As she arrives, she eyes me up and down, I already felt quite nervous but whenever this woman comes near me, I can just die from stress.
We eat the usual cube all talking and Coco invite me to go with them in the music room but I tell her that I prefer to go read but I will go tomorrow morning.
Before dismissing us, Ms Venable asks me in front of everyone " Ms Y/L/N, don't you think your dress is inappropriate ? a little too short maybe ?"
" This dress was with the other clothes for me to wear so I thought it was appropriate " I answered
She raises her eyebrows and says " I didn't ask your opinion and I don't want to see you another time with a dress that doesn't respect the dress code. Understood ? "
" Yes Ms Venable "
She tap her cane twice to dismiss us and I head to the library.
As I walk I couldn't stop asking me why she would put a dress like that in my wardrobe if I can't wear it but I come to the conclusion that she just likes to terrorize me.
I read until the curfew and head to my room without anyone to tell me what to do for once.
