Davey

We eventually came to a room, which Jimmy entered without knocking. It was bare save a table and two chairs, which were occupied by two men, who turned to look at us as we entered. The one who had had his back turned to us was maybe a year or two older than myself, with a square jaw and high cheek bones, and a quiff with bleached stripes in it. He wasn't entirely unattractive, I guess. The other had choppy bleached bangs hanging over one eye, with the rest of his hair being light brown fluff, and a brown stripe running over the lower part of his cheek. He was maybe two years older than the other guy.

The first guy stood up with a smile, walked over to me, then took my hand and kissed it, carefully avoiding the forming scabs on my palm while not making a big deal of it. I watched him with a blank expression.

"I'm Davey. Davey Havok. And this is Jade. You must be Epril," he said smoothly. I could sense Jimmy's discomfort in the background. Davey was evidently trying to seduce me. However, Jade didn't seem to have any interest in me, though he was staring at Jimmy's butt. Thats when I understood why having a girl on the team wouldn't be a problem: Jade was hella gay. Jealously wasn't really problem, unless he ever wanted Davey.

I smirked. "Indeed. How convenient that you already know of me."

"Everyone knows the queen."

"My own parents didn't."

He didn't have a reply to that.

"Mourning aside, why do you need me?"

"Simple. We need a queen."

"You can have two kings."

"Nope. Royalty without a subject can't function."

"Thats a terrible way to treat your friend."

"You'd know."

"Don't."

He backed a few steps and crossed his arms, looking me over. I was being careful, and he knew it. I knew that Jimmy wouldn't hand me over to a different Kingdom without there bring some twist, some dramatic turn of events at the end to throw me back at him. I knew him well enough for that.
And Jimmy knew everything about me. Me being asexual, and he respected that. Instead, he had one night stands with other girls and didn't force me into anything. He knew that I was panromantic. He also knew that I had antisocial personality disorder. I couldn't really commit to a deep relationship, and couldn't develop friendships. He was the closest I ever had to that.

Evidently, however, Davey had no idea or any of this. He had no idea why I was so cold and unimpressed. He could hide it all he wanted but I could read your very soul. And his soul was confused.

"I notice you're confused as to why I'm unwavering."

He paled the slightest bit.

"I'll take that as confirmation. I'll have you know that I'm a psychopath, quite literally. So I wouldnt try to make me melt. Cause you'll just embarrass yourself. I'm the one who does the manipulating around here, got it?"

He nodded nervously. Good, I was getting him on edge.

Then I couldn't help myself. I burst out laughing. Now, let me tell you, my laugh isn't pretty. I laugh heartily, creepily, like a demon in a horror movie.

Then I smiled at him.

"I accept your offer. I shall take over your Kingdom and mold it to fit me."
