finney x reader - sleepover

At school...

Y/n's pov:

Ugh today has been dragging, the weather is horrible and i had science last period, with my crush Finney i've had a crush on him since the 4th grade. My teacher kept lecturing us about god knows what..i don't really pay attention in that class i guess you could say Finney is a distraction too me. Suddenly i hear a voice coming from the front of the room which caught me out of my daze "Miss L/n, would you please stop staring at your classmate and listen to what i'm saying." My eyes widened as everyone started to look back at me. i sat at the back of the classroom while finney sat in the front i felt my cheeks turn hot as i noticed Finney started staring he gave me a slight smile which i quickly returned back. seconds later the last bell rang which meant i can finally leave this place. i was also planning on asking finney something. everyone started leaving the classroom but finney was still packing his things so i went over to him. "hey finn!"

Finney's pov:

i was packing my things trying to hurry up then i heard a familiar voice say "hey finn!" i turned around and saw Y/n. gosh, i love it when she says my nickname she's so beautiful...i admired her features i guess i was staring for too long cause she started  waving her hand in front of me...

Back to Y/n's pov:

Finney didn't say anything back to me i didn't find it too weird at first because he's really shy but it looked like he was paralyzed so i had to step in and do something "finn? are you okay? helloooo earth to finney?!" i waved my hand in front of his face and started snapping my fingers finally he blinked and said "o-oh hey y/n..how are you?" he said with a sweet smile. he's such a sweetheart that's one thing i love about him.

Third person pov:

"im great finn! how about you??" the girl asked without breaking eye contact with the brown eyed boy. "i- i'm good." he stammered with his words. he was nervous around Y/n "well we should get going shall we?" she said, before finney could even answer Y/n grabbed his hand gently and started making their way out of school. as they were walking home Y/n suddenly stopped in her tracks which made finney stop too. he turned around and raised an eyebrow "Look finney i've been wanting to ask you something.." "go on,,," finney hummed "since it's friday and um you know..." she said stuttering.

Y/n's pov:

Ugh why is this so harder then i thought!...this is such a simple thing to ask but yet i still can't even get a single word out without stammering with my words! i mentally slapped myself till i heard finney's voice "Y/n? are you okay?" "yeah i'm totally fine!" "Oh okay..it's just normally i'm the one acting shy not you" he giggled. his laugh was so cute...okay Y/n. you only live once just ask him and everything will be okay! "Look finney i was just wondering if you would maybe want to have a sleepover at my house?" finney looked shocked "ah! omg how insensitive of me— you can bring gwen or any of your friends so it doesn't have to be just u—" i was cut off "No, i want it to be just us." he said looking at me dead serious i got butterflies in my stomach. i noticed that his cheeks flushed pink "i-i mean im fine with anything you wanna do!" "hah..i guess it will be just us then!" i winked at him and he turned into a tomato.

Third person pov:

they continued their walk and about 5 minutes later they arrived at Y/n's house. Y/n unlocked the door to be welcomed with Y/n's mother, her dad was present in her life but he didn't live with her, he lived in another state.  "hi my love!" Y/n's mother happily said while she was making dinner, Y/n and Finney walked towards Y/n's mom "oh! and you must be finney. i've heard a lot of great things about you! she's been talking about how much—" her mother was quickly cut off by her daughter "*COUGH* sorry mom but me and finney should get going to my room we're gonna go do stuff." "Okay honey but make sure the door is open. i don't want any funny business between you too." she smirked but Y/n knew she was also being serious Finney glanced at Y/n little did she know his heart was fluttering inside. "Well, come on finn let's go!" she lead the way as finney followed her into her room. the walls were Y/n's favorite color, (any color u like!) her bed was in the middle with fairy lights on the wall with a bunch of cute decorations. finney looked at the room in awe "Wow Y/n your room is so cool!" "thank you finn you're so sweet!" Y/n gave finney a cheeky smile
