Third person pov:
Y/n had been having a bad week, she gotten into a fight with her close friends, then her parents were pressuring her to study for all the final exams coming up. finney, her boyfriend noticed she had been stressed.
"are you okay babe?" finney asked y/n with worry in his voice "yup i'm great finney, thank you." she turned her head from writing down notes to see finney on her bed watching her. "well i have a surprise for you." finney said smiling "what is it?" "well if i tell you it won't be a surprise anymore" he said laughing.
*the next day*
Finney spent the night over at y/n's since it was the weekend and his dad didn't really care. finney woke up first to see y/n clinging onto him he slowly got up and lightly tapped her, waking her up.
"what time is it?.." she slurred on her words "it's 7:30 love, i packed some clothes for you" "why?" she said in a sleepy voice rubbing her eyes to wake up. "remember, the surprise?" "oh right..can we wait 5 more minutes?" "we're gonna be late here i'll help you out" he laughed lightly "what do you mea-" y/n was cut off by finney carrying her bridal style and left the house. her tired eyes widened and flushed pink.
since y/n and finney are still too young to drive they had to take the city bus. finney put y/n down while he held her bags for her she insisted to let her do it herself but finney said no. she gave up after a few tries then they found a seat in the back of the bus. there wasn't really anybody there just cute old couples.
they were on the bus till sunset, since finney woke up early, he got tired and went to sleep laying his head on y/n's shoulder she heard light snoring and smiled. she started playing with finney's hair until they arrived.
y/n woke up finney and said "this is the last stop so it has to be ours right?" "mhmmm" finney said smiling they got off the bus and y/n's eyes expanded. she saw the beach and since it was around 6-7 pm there was a beautiful sunset. y/n looked at the view in awe while finney admired her.
"surprise!" finney said with joy, they started walking down the beach and finney packed a beach blanket so they could sit on, he also packed some food (basically a picnic on the beach) "finney..wow this is amazing! thank you so much!" y/n said staring at the sunset then at finney.
"i know it's not much but...i noticed you were stressed and i—" y/n quickly cut finney off by kissing him on the lips. when they leaned away y/n said "it's beautiful finney, i could've never asked for anything better then this." she gave him a sweet smile.
