Once the sun had rose, Maisie was quick to notice the tension between the two. she spotted zarina sitting next to her in the boat while Jacob was outside of it but on maisie's side instead of zarina's. when the little one woke up, she didn't even hear them talking, just the sounds of Red swimming through the ocean waters. she wondered what exactly happened last night that caused the twos silent argument.

Seeing that they had ran out of pomegranates, maisie suggested they go fishing. zarina and jacob silently agreed, their eyes meeting with each other before snapping opposite ways. maisie sighed, grumbling to blue who only licked her cheek in response. they climbed Red, inching towards the ocean waters. Maisie stood in between Jacob and Zarina, feeling a bit awkward but made it her mission to try and get the two together again.

Jacob held his harpoon in his hand, chucking it through the blue sea water at the pod of fishes, but missed. the more he continued the miss, the larger Zarina's smirk grew. finally, he let out a grunt of frustration and sent a small glare at Zarina, hearing her muffled laughter. Even Red growled, unimpressed. "Yeah, well, you know, I'm uh...I'm used to a bigger target, all right?" Jacob stuttered, crossing his arms tightly in a fit.

Red snorted and slowly turned, swimming in a circle motion—trapping the following fishes. The small fishes began to jump out of the water, earning smiles from the three. maisie reached her hands out, managing to catch a big one and showed it towards the two. "Dinner time!" she exclaimed with excitement.

zarina smiled at the sight and took a step forward over to the water. maisie and jacob watched her attempt to catch one as well, that is, until zarina accidentally slipped. out of reflex, the man reached over, wrapping a strong hold around her waist and pushing her to his chest. maisie giggled as the two stared into each others eyes, the world coming to a stop when their hearts intertwined.

snapping out of her trance, zarina gently pushed herself off of him and swallowed. "sorry." she mumbled. jacob cleared his throat, casting his eyes down to his feet and nodding in response. zarina knitted her eyebrows together, her heart being torn piece by piece the more he distanced himself away from her. he really was ignoring her.
maisie, taking notice of their little silent dispute, walked over to zarina and grabbed her hand.
tugging on the woman's hand, the little girl guided her back to the boat. zarina peered over her shoulder at him, seeing his back faced towards her.

Back at the boat, Maisie seated herself in front of Zarina and in between her bent legs. "You need to cut it in one go. Don't stop, otherwise, you'll hesitate and end up cutting your fingers off." zarina explained, her hand hovered over Maisie's little hand that held the large dagger she was given from Jacob. Zarina guided Maisie's hand down, slicing the fish into pieces slowly yet swiftly. Reaching the tail end of the fish, Zarina clapped her hands and smiled down at Maisie. "There ya go! you're already a natural." Maisie's face brightened at her praise and continued to cut another fish into pieces.
