Loki peeled the comforter off slowly so he wouldn't wake Poppy, and made his way to his wardrobe. He grabbed a black cloak and silently slipped it on. When he walked out the room Steven was already waiting for him. Loki closed the door and nodded to him. "Let's go." Then they were gone in a puff of wind.

"Are you sure this is where she lives?" Steven asked. They sped down the streets with inhumane speed, dashing around the corners and running on roofs. "Yes. I've had a few men keep an eye on her for the past few days."

"Are you not going to tell Poppy about this?" Steven knew that it was something that had been bothering him for the past few days. "I don't know if I should. I mean, does she need to know?" Steven smiled, "she doesn't need to know but you should still tell her. Trust me. It may be the one piece to your undoing."

Loki grumbled. They came to a screeching stop at an inn. "I still can't believe she has the audacity to stay in the Northern region." Steven huffed. Loki opened the door and the whole tavern went quite. Men drinking and eating tables filled with food all stared at the Duke. It didn't take much to immediately determine it was the Duke by his cold aura.

As Loki and Steven continued walking the young receptionist smiled brightly to them. She knew that based off the cloaks they wouldn't want to be called by their titles. "What can I do for you guys?"

Steven handed three silver coins. "One room for one night please." He winked at her which made her face flush from head to toe. Loki rolled his eyes but kept his mouth shut. If he did the talking the girl would be shivering with fear.

"Here you go!" She handed them a room key. "Keep the volume down, please," she winked back at Steven. It was Stevens turn to be a startled mess. "What did she mean by that," Loki prodded. Steven shook his head. "Nothing important." Loki shrugged and went on his way.

"So do we kill her?" Steven asked as he polished his sword. It wasn't as fancy as Loki's sword but it did the trick. He was a mage after all. "I'm not sure yet. Depends on her willingness to corporate." Loki explained. Steven nodded.

"Is this it?" Steven looked up to Loki. He noddd. Steven closed his eyes and covered one eye with his hand. "Reflection." This spell creates a small line of water through the door. It was basically like a tiny camera. The light bounces down the water and into his eye. Meaning he can see things from long distances.

Steven's whole body went red. He uncovered his eye and the water stream shot back into his hand. "Um, sire I think we should wait a few minutes." Loki raised an eyebrow. "Why?" Steven stuttered his words from the shock, "um. B-because." Loki grew impatient and kicked the door open.

In the room was a pale woman who's skin was the color of snow. Her long red hair spread across the bed and over the man she was on top of. Loki's face contorted in revulsion as she continued riding on the man. She glanced over at them and smiled. A true villainess smile. "Care to join?" She offered in a deep seductive voice.

Steven was turned around with a face as red as a tomato. He covered his eyes with his hands as he tried to drown away the embarrassment. Loki took off his cloak and threw it on top of her. "Get up." He demanded. She frowned at him wrapped the cloak around her body. Then she slowly rose off the man. Loki already knew he was half dead. "No no no no no. Don't leave me!" The man croaked.

His face was sunken and sickly. His brown hair was the only feature of this that the Duke could identify. She had sucked the life out of him. Though she had on the cloak she still didn't completely wrap it around herself. She wanted Loki to see her. She stood up to his height and looked straight into his eyes. Her red eyes looked over him like a piece of meat. "It's been a while. Loki Frost."
