"what's going on?" will asked as he saw eleven and jim carrying boxes into his house. "well, uh, jim and i have been together for a while now, and we figured it's about time they officially move in. el's gonna get jonathan's old room." joyce explained, a soft smile on her face. "oh." he nodded, before grabbing a box marked "kitchen" from the back seat of jim's car.
the phone began ringing as he set the box down, a slightly confused noise escaped his lips as he grabbed the phone. "byers residence." he greeted. "hey, babe, how're you?" nathan asked sweetly, a smile on his face as robin gave him a confused look. "oh! hey, love. how's work?" will asked, tucking the phone between his ear and shoulder as he began going through the box. "slow! what are you doing?" nathan asked. "mm, jim and el are moving in." will hummed. "i'm helping them get unpacked." he finished, moving as far as he could to put things away.
"ooh, that's fun, we could have sleep overs. what if i brought home a scary movie? would she be down to watch one?" nathan asked, his eyes drifting towards the horror section. "el! would you wanna watch a scary movie with nate and i?" will asked as she passed him, going down the hallway. "ooh, don't make it too scary." she giggled, before continuing towards her new room. "yeah, definitely, let's watch one." he nodded.
"m'kay, i gotta go, see you tonight." nathan hummed, before hanging up.

"isn't that some astrology shit?" jim huffed as nathan pushed "moon in scorpio" into the vhs player. "yeah, but it's a horror movie." he shrugged, clicking play before sitting on the couch next to will and wrapping his arm around the smaller boy.
"sounds stupid." jim huffed, but he sat in the recliner anyways. "shhh." eleven held her index fnger up to her lips as the movie began, earning a giggle from will.
"i got popcorn- oh it's started." joyce placed the bowl on the coffee table before sitting on the end of the couch.
of course, a knock at the door interrupted the night. "i got it." nathan huffed as he stood up, walking towards the door. he opened it, seeing mike doubled over and panting. "mike? what are you doing?" he asked, confusion laced in his words. "where is she? have you seen her? i can't find el, i can't reach her." mike panted, tears streaming down his face. nathan stepped aside, showing mike that she was safe on the couch.
he pushed his way into the house. "el can we talk? somewhere private?" he asked softly. by now, will had already gotten up and paused the movie.
once el and mike went to her room, the adults shared a confused look. "are they having problems?" joyce asked softly, looking at will. "i think so? mike still has his crush on nate and she didn't take it very well.." he muttered softly. "i wanna kill him." jim huffed, his eyes narrow as he glared at the closed door. "fair." nathan nodded, before getting lightly slapped in the back of his head by will. "ow. just the facts." he laughed, giving will a lopsided grin.
after almost forty minutes, mike sat on the floor in front of the couch, and el sat between joyce and will, her legs folded under her body. mike quickly unpaused the movie, before asking; "what are we watching?"
"stars in aquarium?" jim muttered softly. "no! moon in scorpio." nathan laughed softly, pulling will closer to him. "yeah, something like that." jim laughed, leaning forward to grab a handful of popcorn, shaking it like a dad would with peanuts before popping one in his mouth.
