"Who's hungry!" Bellamy yelled as they walked back to camp. Murphy and he were carrying the dead panther on the makeshift stretcher they had originally made for Jasper.

The entire camp erupted into cheers and claps as they praised Bellamy for bringing back food. Kate rolled her eyes but let him have this moment, even though he wasn't the one to kill it. She moved away from the obnoxious teens as she made her way to the dropship where Jasper was taken. She stayed with him for a good amount of time, doing her best to clean him up. When Clark decided it was time for them to get a break. Both girls walked out of the dropship, only to be met by Finn.

"He's stable for now but I'm worried-" Clark started to ramble before Kate cut her off as she looked at the little scene in front of them.

"They're taking off their wristbands for food?" Kate said full of distaste.

"No way... I won't do it." Clark quickly shakes her head.

"Me either." Kate says as she moves towards the fire cutting the line of hungry delinquents waiting for their turn to get food. She confidently reached out to grab a piece of meat, when a hand grabbed her wrist.

"What? You think you play by different rules kitty?" Murphy asked. Kate felt like she could puke just by hearing the god-awful nickname.

"I thought there were no rules?" Kate replied defiantly, not backing down.

"You know, one day that pretty little mouth of yours is gonna get you hurt-" Murphy threatens as he tugged her closer roughly.

"Murphy! Back off. I'll handle her, make sure the rest stay in line." Bellamy's low voice was heard as he appeared behind Katerina, removing Murphy's hold on her as he now grabbed her by her forearm and dragged her away from the campfire.

"What the hell, Blake! Let go of me!" Katerina tried yanking her arm out but failed. Bellamy pulled her inside the biggest tent in camp letting her go once they were both in.

"What the hell is your problem? One of these days you're gonna start a fight you won't be able to win and I won't be there to keep you safe-"

"I don't need you to keep me safe! You're not my brother Bellamy." Katerina yelled at him as Bellamy took a step closer to her. He was so close that he had to look down to meet her gaze.

"Believe me, I know." He said lowly. His eyes darted down to her lips. "I'm just worried...I've been hearing things about you all over camp and-"

"And you believe them. Don't you? After what Murphy said..." Kate took a step back, knowing exactly what people say about her behind her back. "You're right to believe them...Tell me, what is it they say hmm?" She asked him but he stayed quiet. "That I'm a whore? That I sleep around? Cause guess what Bellamy their fucking right. I'm Katerina the girl who couldn't keep her legs shut." She rambles on annoyed at what everyone says about her and what she also thinks of herself. "Or do they say the actual good stuff? The reason I was locked up-"

"I don't give a damn about what those idiots say. I don't fucking care how many people you've slept with. And neither should they. It's your fucking body and you get to do whatever the hell you want with it. They can't use that as an excuse not to respect you or say the things they say about you. It's fucking wrong."

"Nobody else thinks it's wrong. They all think I deserve whatever hate I get."

"Well, they're wrong. The Ark citizens aren't exactly known for their good judgment." Bellamy remarks making Kate laugh.

"You're right about that one." Kate agrees laughing lightly. "But Bell- did they...do you know why I was arrested? Did they tell you who I am?" She asks, afraid to hear the answer.

"No. And I don't care. Whatever it was I bet you had a good reason to do it. And I know exactly who you are."

"You do...?"

"Yes. You're Katerina. You're Kate. You're a ray of sunshine. You're all that and more. You're good and compassionate. And you inspire people to be the same." Kate smiled hearing his kind words. And she was eternally grateful he didn't know about her past yet.

"How's your back?" She asked changing the topic.

"Haven't really had the time to properly clean it."

"Sit. I'll help you clean them." Bellamy looked at her surprised opening his mouth to protest.

"It's fine you don't have to -"

"Bellamy Blake sit your ass down." She said more sternly, leaving no room for discussion. Bellamy let out a breathy laugh as he complied sitting down on the makeshift mattress he had made.

"Give me a minute while I go get one of the buckets of water I have stored."

"Don't bother...I have some here. I collected some buckets of rainwater the other day. Some weird girl told me I should."

"Hmm, well that weird girl sounds smart." She said smirking, as she turned around to grab one of the buckets of water bringing it to the edge of the bed. She sat down behind Bellamy so she was facing his back. "Correct me if I'm wrong but, I think you just might need to take off your shirt for me to clean your wounds." She said as she waited for him to remove his top.

"You sure I need to take it off? Cause to me this just sounds like an excuse for you to get to see me topless." Bellamy teased as he looked over his shoulder to look at her.

"Oh sugar, I've already seen you with your shirt off, and trust me, I wasn't impressed. So you don't have to worry about me being a cougar and perving on you."

Bellamy looked back at her confused. "Im literally 5 years older than you."

"What?! Yikes, no wonder I wasn't impressed. You're practically ancient. Old man." Kate joked making Bellamy laugh as he removed his shirt and jacket.

"I practically just turned 23. I'm not even that old." Bellamy defends.

"Whatever you say, old man." Kate teased him as she grabbed his already torn-up shirt, ripping a small piece from it to use as a rag. "Try not to cry, okay?" She joked as she dipped the rag in the water and placed it on his cut. Bellamy let out a, in Kate's opinion, exaggerated hiss. "Oh come on suck it up. You're a full-grown man, I barely even touched you."

"Sorry to break it to you Sunshine, but you're not as delicate as you think you are." Bellamy said, in faux annoyance at how rough she had dabbed his wound. Kate's face screwed as she pettily dabbed the rag even harder against his cut, purposely hurting him. Bellamy let out another hiss as he swatted her arm away. Slapping the top of her palm.

"Did you just hit me?" Kate tried to remain serious as she gasped at Bellamy whose eyes widen.

"I- no, I'm sorry I didn't-" Kate wet the rag more and slapped him with it, covering his entire face with water.

"You're going to regret that, Katerina." Bellamy stood up grabbing the bucket of water.

"Wait Bellamy stop. Don't you dare!" Kate yelled in between laughs as Bellamy held the bucket threateningly above her. "Truce yeah?" Kate said raising her hands.

"Yeah." Bellamy agreed, smiling. Kate let out a breath of relief as she lowered her hands.

"Okay now seriously sit back down, I need to clean those cuts before they get infected-" In a matter of seconds Kate's entire face was soaked in water, as Bellamy busted out laughing.

"You are so dead, Blake!" Kate yelled as she got up and wrestled the bucket from Bellamy's hand. And that's how the two of them spent the rest of the night, fighting each other as they splashed themselves with water. Laughing and slipping on the wet ground, the two of them felt what it was like to be kids again.
