"Here you go, kind sir. As promised-" a not-so-sober Kate tries to hand a drink to Bellmamy before she drunkenly trips over making the drink spill and Katerina to stumble onto Bellamy's chest; using it as support. "Oh no! Your drink." Kate pouted as she looked down at the spilled drink.

"It's okay sunshine. I didn't want more anyways." Bell laughs as he holds the girl's waist to keep her from falling. "And you shouldn't have anymore too." He says as he glared at her playfully. He liked seeing her like this. Carefree and giggly, she deserved to be able to act like a kid at least once in her life. To let go and not have any responsibilities.

"I should have a couple more." She said smiling while Bellamy shook his head. "Just a tiny bit more." She motioned to the amount with her fingers.

"Okay, you can have a tiny bit more." Katerina celebrated in his arms hearing the news.

"You have very pretty eyes. They're dark, like the forest." Katerina said out of nowhere as she held on to his face examining his eyes. Bellamy laughed, and even if he won't admit it, he found himself getting red at the compliment.

"You have pretty eyes too. And a pretty smile, and a pretty personality. And a pretty hot body." Bellamy smirked seeing Kate's exaggerated reaction.

"Can a tell you a secret?" The girl whispered as she got on her toes to reach his ear. "I think you have a pretty hot body too." She whispered as she covered her mouth afterward as if she had said the most outrageous thing. "It's too bad I can't be with you." She said, all of a sudden getting sad. Bellamy's face furrowed hearing this.

"Why can't you be with me?" Bellamy knew it wasn't right to interrogate her while she was drunk but he felt like it was the only time she would ever answer him truthfully.

"You scare me, Bell." She said her green eyes looking up at Bellamy's confused ones. Scare her? Why would she be scared of me?

"How do I scare you?" Bellamy asks softly genuinely concerned by her comment. He never wanted to make Kate feel anything but comfortable around him.

"You. Us. We... I can't have that. Not when there's a chance I might lose it." His gaze softened.

"You won't lose me." Bellamy brushed his hand down the side of her face.

"You can't promise me that... we're in the middle of a war Bell. You're the leader of the camp. That puts you in danger." She takes a deep breath in to focus her drunken mind. "And I can't let myself fall for you only to lose you. I can't risk it. Maybe in a world where we weren't at risk of dying every five seconds, I could afford to take a chance but this isn't a fantasy, it's real life. And our reality sucks."

"That's a pessimistic way of seeing it."

"That's the only way I can." She slowly pushed herself out of the comfort of Bellamy's arms as she backed away. "I'm gonna go get myself another drink. I can feel myself sobering up and I hate it."
