Y/n's pov

Me and soda have been best friends since well forever
We've always been there for each other and we can always tell each other anything

Around 3 months ago his girlfriend sandy left to move to Florida
She was also pregnant...with someone else's kid

I helped soda through it and he eventually stopped being sad about it

Although for a while it felt like he was always gonna be upset about it which I wouldn't blame him what Sandy did was awful

Is it selfish tho thst I'm glad she's gone? I've always had a little crush on soda but I've always ignored it

But now that Sandy's gone I don't wanna ignore it anymore

I'm gonna give him more time tho cause I know he needs it

I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the bell of the diner door ring

Over to my table came soda

"Hey soda pop!" I say with excitement

"Hey y/n!"
He said as he sat across from me

"How've your been it's been a few days" I ask

"Pretty good, pony's passing all his classes which is good and darry got a raise the gangs al good im all good" he sorta rambled but I didn't mind

"Well that's good! Are you hungry you can order urself something" I tell him

"Oh no I'm good but anyway how've you been?" He asked

"Oh I'm alright although this girl in my class keeps bugging me and calling me grease or whatever but other than that I'm 'all good" I reply

"Well that's good to hear! I was wondering if you'd wanna stop by the house tomorrow night? I'm sure the gang would love to see ya and ik I sure will" he said
And I swear I saw him wink but who knows

"Yeah I'll come over 7 sound good?" I ask

"Perfect!"

Time skip

This morning I got up earlier than usual and by earlier I mean I woke up at noon but whatever

I wanted to look nice today for reasons I'd rather not mention but seeing soda might have something to do with it

So I took a shower, did my make up, got dressed in the nicest thing I had, did my hair, and all that good stuff
And let me tell you it took a LONG time

Eventually tho I got done and it was 4 pm

So to pass time I ate, watched tv, did a little walk around town then headed to the Curtis house

When I got there I saw a car I didn't recognize

When I got there I opened the door
And saw everyone sitting down in the living room silent

Well everyone but soda

I took a glance over at the kitchen and saw him and sandy talking

They looked...happy?

I was confused  and not gonna lie heartbroken

Soon he looked at me and immediately got up

"Hey y/n!" He said and I just looked at him confused

"I've got some news...uh" he looked at sandy and said "me and sandy are gonna get back together!" I was flabbergasted

"What." Was all I could get out

"Yeah isn't it great! She's coming back to town and she came over here and told her side of things and yeah we're back together!" He seemed happy which made me feel bad about how I was feeling

I looked over at the gang speechless

They all avoided eye contact
They knew how I felt towards soda

"Soda..." I say as my voice cracks cause I'm on the verge of tears

"Who was the girl by ur side? Who stayed up till 4 am why u ranted on and on about how upset you were? Who was the girl that had reassured you everything was gonna be okay? Who was the girl that made sure you got out of bed every day even when you didn't want too?" I asked

"Well-" he began

"ME! I was the girl who did that! Where was she? In Florida pregnant with a kid that isn't even urs! god I would've died for you! (Pretty in pink 🤭) this is how you repay me? All that down the drain"

"Y/n-"

"I- gotta go..." I say and run out the door
