As a little girl, she dreamed of going into space. She would fantasize about how it felt to be above the earth and look down on its beauty. She wondered how it would feel to experience such a view. The day she told her father this dream, Jesse Mendoza went to the store and returned home with a bag of glow-in-the-stars, telling his little girl that they could decorate her ceilings with it.

Olivia Mendoza's world changed the night that her father went missing during sophomore year. There were no leads. No answers. And even after Will Byers was lucky enough to come back from the dead, Jesse Mendoza didn't return.
The day her fathers case was closed, she drove home, a heart full of anger and eyes brimmed with tears, and ripped every star off of her ceiling. At that moment, with eyes focused on a pile of plastic stars, Olivia stopped dreaming.

I ended up changing Olivia's name and faceclaim last minute. In my first version, she's played by Kiana Madeira and her name was Daniella. After editing some chapters, I realized Chloe Bennet fit the character more... and then I just felt like a name change was needed as well. Anyways, if you see the name Daniella anywhere... shhhhh no you dont.
