A Song Only You Can Hear: kimchay + Vegaspete

Chay remembers walking into his room and throwing himself on his bed. He woke up around 12 in the afternoon the next day. He gets up squinting and rubbing his eyes, and decides to take a shower before he goes to the kitchen for breakfast. 

Chay finishes his shower and comes out in some basketball shorts and a loose shirt. He doesn't plan much for the day. He'll probably watch some TV or finally get to thinking about what he wants to study.

Chay steps out of his room and heads down to the kitchen where he finds Porsche and kinn finishing up what must be their lunch laughing and talking. As soon as Porsche realizes Chay is there he gets up the huge smile not leaving his face. 

"Hey kid want something to eat?" Porsche asks. He reaches for Chay and grabs his arm but he abruptly pulls out of Porsche's grasp. "I think I'm gonna check if Dao is here. It's around his break time so I'm gonna take him something." 

"Wait, Chay eat with us I'm sure Dao can wait for you to get something to eat first" and Chay can immediately sense something is up. 

"Hia, what's going on you're acting weird" 

"What do you mean Chay? I just want to eat with my little brother. Is that too much to ask? ''says porsche. 

"We haven't eaten together in months and it hasn't bothered you, whatever it is just say it this is getting weird" Says Chay pulling out a chair sitting down with Porsche and kinn. 

"Well, Chay kinn and I know you're not fond of this…arrangement but as you know the main family is having a gathering and we'll we'd like you to join us" Porsche finishes twiddling his fingers anxiously. 

"No," Chay responds. 

"I accepted staying here I accepted the bodyguards and the secrecy, but that's it" 

Porsche sighs turning to kinn with an "I told you so" look on his face. So kinn decides to speak up "Chay we understand it's a lot to ask, but Pete and Vegas will be there and so will my youngest cousin" Says kinn with an encouraging sound to his voice. 

As soon as Chay hears about Pete he can't help but ask "will Venice be there?"

Kinn responds a bit over excitedly "Yes she will, Pete and Vegas like to have her close 24/7 unless it can't be helped." 

So that's how Chay found himself saying yes. He'd attend the party that would be taking place in 3 days. 

That's also how Chay found himself shopping for a tux. The gathering would be a formal one. Although he dreaded the idea of being surrounded by some of Kinns "colleagues" he looked forward to stealing Venice away from Pete as soon as he found them. 

Kinn had promised he would have a room prepared for Chay to sneak off too if things got too overwhelming. So Chay planned to grab Venice, sneak off into the room and spend his time with the baby. 

The days to the event were painfully slow but Chay occupied himself as best he could thinking about his plan to sneak out and the idea Dao had given him unknowingly. 

Chay had felt guilty for lying to Dao so these past few days around his break time he'd head over to Dao and give him his favorite snack. 

Chay woke up around eight in the morning on the day of the main family gathering. Porsche had come to wake him up and remind him to be ready and the bodyguards would take him, because he would be heading to the main family home earlier as he and kinn had some stuff to attend too. 

Chay ate breakfast and hung around with khun achara until it was time to get ready. The only thing that worried Chay about this whole affair aside from Kinns coworkers was kim. Kim hadn't tried to approach him, but then again Chay hadn't really left the mansion since the night he snuck out. 

Soon Chay would be back to school after his break and would be busy thinking about which university he should apply to now that he won't be pursuing music.

He looks into the mirror as he finishes getting ready. His hair is brushed and tamed and now he's struggling with the stupid bow tie Porsche insisted he wear. 

"Khun chay we're ready when you are" Says Dao opening the door to chays room. 

He smiles when he sees Chay struggling with his bow tie. "May I?" he asks Chay.

Chay gives him the bow tie "Please" says Chay with a frustrated look on his face, and Dao laughs. He helps Chay with his bow tie and takes a step back. 

"All done khun chay" 

"Thank you p'dao I thought I was going to go crazy trying to put that thing on right"

Dao let's out another laugh. 

"Alright let's get this over with" Says Chay with a huge sigh and Dao nods.

Chay has a bad feeling about tonight but he assumes it's the nerves. So before he can turn back and run he gathers up the courage and steps into the car.  

Chay had been right when he had a bad feeling, but he had been wrong to think it was just nerves. He came to realize this now, as he stands between Kim and one of kinns acquaintances from Japan as they point guns at each other.

Quick Note: This one is a bit boring so I apologize I'll definitely make it up. Also please keep in mind I'm writing this as I go. So I have no idea how anything will go at all😅
