I have been neglecting this story, but I promise that'll change soon. To be incredibly honest with you all, I feel like the story kind of sucks. Regardless, I'll continue to write.

As per usual, I did not edit this😅. If you see a mistake, please point it out nicely. I'm sorry it's taken so long but I promise I'll write another chapter soon!! Hope you enjoy!!

Also if anyone here is a harry potter/ Marauders fan please comment!! I have this idea for a small fic and would like to see if anyone else here would be interested.

"We'll discuss it at home," Vegas replies, trying to haul Macau into the car. "Wait, what about -" Before Macau can get a full sentence out, Kakeru softly nudges him inside of the car standing in front of the door.

"I'll head to your place, alright? Don't worry about me. I'm right behind you, " Kakeru says, closings the door. "Who the hell is gonna tell me what's going on?!"

Pete and Vegas say nothing as they wait for kim, Chay, and khun to get into the car in front of them before heading out.

Pete turns to look at Macau "Look apparently your brother has been getting some threats recently. We didn't want to worry you, Macau."

"YOU DIDN'T WANT TO WORRY ME?!" Macau responds, voice raised in a panic. "I was out on vacation! Anything could've happened, and you two didn't think it was a good idea to tell me this?!"

Vegas looks at Macau through the rear view mirror. "We wanted you to have fun without the worry of having a target on your back. I knew if I told you this, you wouldn't go,"

"Damn right, I wouldn't go! What if something had happened to you?! Or to Pete? And I wouldn't have been here -"

"WE DIDN'T WANT YOU HERE," Vegas responds, voice rising. "I almost lost you because of this life! I almost lost you!!"

As they enter the gates into their home, Macau gets off the car without saying a word as he watches the other two cars empty out as well.

"I had a right to know!! I. Should.have.known, " he says, looking Vegas in the eye. "You can't pull this crap on me!!"

"I did what I thought was best!!" Vegas roars in response. "Do you really think it was easy for me?"

Macau says nothing as he heads inside everyone following. He heads straight to his room and slams the door, locking it, breathing heavily.

A few minutes later, he hears a knock.

"Who is it?" He calls out in a half whisper.

"Kakeru," a deep familiar voice responds. Macau gets up from his bed and lets him in, turning back and flopping down on his bed.

"You're upset," the man says as he sits on the floor next to the bed.

"Of course I am he had so long to tell me!! So damn long! If ANYTHING had happened to them while I was Go-" macaus voice catches in his throat as he fights of tears.

"If something had happened, I- I'd lose it all. I can't stand the thought of it. I just can't."

Kakeru says nothing "Macau your brother handled things wrong. I understand your anger, and I won't excuse it. You deserve an apology. At the same time, I understand where he's coming from. From what I've heard, you two went through so much, " kakeru says as he puts a hand up as Macau looks at him, looking like he wants to interrupt.

"Your brother thought he could handle this while we were gone without you finding out, and he wouldn't have to put you on edge in a sense, I can't really blame him. He also has a fear of losing his brother Macau. So, speak to him. Explain and let him explain. Don't drift from your brother so easily. You'll have to figure this out together after all." Kakeru says, keeping eye contact with Macau.

"I know - I just I wish he had told me I understand his reasons. I just wish he'd see that his reasons are also mine. He can't continue to bear the burdens of the family alone."

"Sometimes we forget, you know? When you're used to taking care of people, you forget that sometimes we are blind to the people around us who could help. " Kakeru responds, giving him a small smile. Macau smiles back, although kakeru can't see.

At that moment, a knock interrupts the moment.

"It's Vegas. may I come in?" Kakeru stands up and opens the door, turning to Macau."I'll be out in the kitchen, alright?" He says, walking out and nodding at Vegas.

"You know, sometimes I can't even tell he's a mob boss," Vegas says, looking at Macau with a brow raised.

"I know, weird, isn't it." Macau responds, sitting up in his bed as his brother approaches.

"I'm here to apologize, I handled things wrong. I know I did, and I regret every second of it. But I want you to know that everything was so I could keep you safe and happy. Because one of my biggest fears is losing you. You're my brother. You were my first kid. I love you. I'm sorry." Vegas says, sitting down next to his brother not really meeting his gaze.

Macau sighs, staring at his brother. "I'm sorry too. I just need you to know that I'm scared of losing you too." Macau says.

"I understand why you did things the way you did, although I don't like it. We are in this together." Macau says, grabbing his brother's hand and squeezing it.

Vegas looks at him, squeezing his hand right back. "Yeah, we are."
