Skylar's POV

Me and Anita were on our way to lunch with our friends like always, but today was different. During lunch I recommended to looking at the signup sheets, and so we did. Anita was the one to get all the papers. Once everyone settled at the table Anita started to sum up the rules.

"Okay, so in the competition we will 'fight' against another team of ten. By saying 'fight', they mean that we will be able to use prototypes, of the biological inventions, to fight against another team, who will also be using the prototypes. Here it also explains how the teams need to work. There should be a leader, three tanks, three attackers, a person who body guards the leader and the other two are meant to be healers. It has extra pages where it explains the roles, once we settle with roles, I'll pass the pages out" Anita said as she sighed and continued reading. "The competition also includes tests, not the kind that test knowledge, but the kind that test your inner self. These tests need to be taken before we decide on our roles in the team. It says here that next Monday they will be conducting those tests in the new Gym. "

"What do you mean by inner self?" Ben asked curiously.

"Hold on Ben, I'm getting to that part" she said with annoyance, Anita hated to be interrupted. "Okay, the tests are meant to test the kind of a person you are. It tests your leadership skills, how aggressive you can be, how fast you think in urgent situations, your physical reaction speed, and how much of multitasking you can do. Depending on results of these tests, you'll get a close result to what role you should take. That sums up the competition. To the next thing. Alright, there are three rules to be able to sign up for the competition. You have to be between the ages of fourteen to nineteen. You have to agree with the requirements. The requirements state that by signing this sheet you agree to participate in the competition and that if we win, and decide to take the opportunity to test this invention, the officers of 'T.W.' have the rights to put us on training, which we will be paid to do. I like this part" Anita said with a smile. "The pay can be anywhere from around 60,000 to 100,000. The pay later gets higher, but they don't explain why" Anita stopped and she suddenly looked a bit sad. "But we have to have ten people, which is the third rule. I know we don't have ten people and that's what I wanted to talk about. This signup sheet is due Friday. We have to have ten signatures. That's why we need to look for more people to join us in our group. It has only been two days since the announcement, and I have heard that about 30 teams already have formed for the competition. In our group we only have seven people. Me, Ben, Calvin, Brishen, Decker, Skylar and Thomas."

"Thomas?" Ben asked confused.

"Skylar asked Thomas this morning if he wanted to be part of our group and he agreed" Anita explained to Ben. I looked at Karla.

"Hey Karla, why don't you join in?" I asked her.

"Oh, I'm not really into that. How about I'll just cheer you on, in the competition" she said with a smile.

"Okay, that's cool" I replied back.

"We are still missing three people. So if you guys still want to do this competition, we gotta start looking for people" Anita said with a small smile of hope.

"I still want to do the competition" Brishen said with a smile towards Anita.

"Me too, it sounds fun" Calvin said happily.

"I'm down for it...still" I said bluntly.

Anita's explanation took most of the lunch, so right after she was done we started stuffing our faces with food before lunch was over. Like always everyone left for their classes after lunch, but I noticed something different today. Brishen was walking with Anita, when his class was on a different route.
