Chapter 4: Marielena & Brandy

Skylar's POV continuing

Excitement rushed through my body as I knocked on Brandy's door. I couldn't wait to see her. It has been almost a year now that she has moved. After a couple seconds, someone flung the door wide open.

"Hello?" she asked. I just stood there waiting for her to realize it's me. At first she looked confused, but then her eyes widened and a big smile spread across her face.

"SKYLAR!!!!????" she yelled with a bliss.

"BRANDY!!!!" I yelled back as I embraced her.

"OMG!!, no WAY! How...How???" she asked looking at me with disbelieve.

"This guy right here" is all I said. I pointed at Jace who was standing behind me the whole time. Brandy looked at him and then she looked back at me.

"OOOOHHH, I see that we have LOTS to catch up on" Brandy said as she cleared her throat. I just smiled.

"We don't have that much time, we also have to go get your other friend" Jace said as he looked at his watch.

"Oh, yes that's right. Brandy can we come in?" I asked her. She nodded.

"Come on in" she said as she motioned us to come in.

As we were coming into her house, I realized that she should be at school right now.

"So, why are you home?" I asked her.

"Mom left for work early, and my brother is a dick. He forgot to take me to school with him. So, what is it?" Brandy asked.

"Okay, so there is this competition happening at our high school, and probably at many other high schools. But what I am meaning to say is that the team that I am in, we need more people to be able to compete. I told Jace about it, and that you might be able to compete with us. But you live all the way over here. So he got us teleporters, you can use one to travel all the way to our high school and compete with us" I smiled as I said the last part. "But first, you're gonna teleport to my house and Jace and I will come with in a different portal to make sure you get there safely."

And she smiled at my concern "Okay" was all she said. Then she changed the subject back to the competition.

"So a competition?" she looked at me uncertainty.

"Yes, and to confirm that you will compete. We need you to come with us and sign a paper, back at my school."

"Yeah okay, I'm sure my mom will be okay with it. Let me just leave a note for her real quick" she said happily, as she left to the kitchen.

"Okay, so after we get your 'girlfriends' we gonna have to get someone else too" Jace said.

I turned around "Hmm, who?" I asked looking at him confused.

"Well, he is the exception to the teleporters. The Officers said your friends can have them if your team will let in this guy. His name is Leo Anderson. He has been in training for a year now, and something happened to his old team. So they want him in your team. I mean you guys need another person after all. I hope your okay with that'' he said.

"I think, that it will be alright for this guy Leo to join us. You're right we need another person. But now, that means that instead of going through the portal five times, it's gonna be seven times now" I said as I moan in annoyance.

"Princess, you don't have to come if you don't want too" Jace said sadly.

"No, I'm coming with you because I don't want you to go alone" I said to him, though I secretly just wanted to be closer to him. He put his head down an looked at me through his eyelashes and he smiled, that's so hot I thought to myself.
