"welcome home Princess" my mom greeted setting the dining table, " what going on? are we having any special occasion" I asked baffled because it feels like we were about to feed the whole nation at the amount of food on the table.

Laughs " of course not dear,well your dad's about to sign a contract with LA company and we need to show them we are not poor" she said holding onto the table with her back facing me.  " And yeah we're gonna become penniless just because we wants to make a good impression?. Scoff I can't believe we are doing this to make a good impression on some psycho, I'll be so happy of we're feeding the needy than make this large dessert for some undeserving people.  " C'mmon sweetheart I don't want you giving them your nasty attitude ok? and please make this night as memorable as it can be and I promise you something big" my dad said pleadingly, " please baby this contract means a lot to to your father,it can be our biggest break through ok? My mom chipped in , both of them hugged me ,my dad placed a kiss on my forehead before leaving me to go help my mom with the dinning,I nodded in agreement well what can I do?.

Bel pov: 

" I can't believe Ezme got me partner with that nerd , she's really annoying.

" You're just gonna fall in love with her huh? Carly taunt, " enough! I yelled at her she was taken aback then later she burst out crying. I felt hopeless and hated my self for yelling at her, Carly has always been there through tick and thin, I hugged her even though I know she was faking it.

" I only love Bel and that  why I'm afraid  you' ll end up with her" she said pouting her lips,I laughed at her childishness ," of course not babe, she's really not my type" I said carrying her up to my bedroom and she scream with delight.

I was about to take off Carly's bra when the door flew open, Carly scream covering herself up with the duvet.  " Geez jasmine , can't you Knock? ," am sorry I didn't know you were busy" she said covering her eyes with her hand.  " Wait outside" I said in a commanding tone, " am sorry babe we're gonna do this next time" I said, she got dress then walk out but not without giving Jas one of her deadly looks.

" What is it jasmine? , " Well sorry ,Kane just informed me that you have a dinner to attend tonight,the   Mzee company that you're signing the contract with them invited you over to their house" . I looked at her " I'm just eighteen and yet my father hand over our biggest  company to me. " It ok child, they're just trying to  make you a man" she said as if she could see through my pain,well maybe she can. Jas has always been there, she has always been there for me, I've grown to like Jas and respect her as my mother .I didn't grow up with my parents,there always traveling,we hardly spend time together even on Christmas. Jas has been with ever since I was little,she knows everything about me,my parents only care about wealth , my cousin raven only comes home during summer.

" It gonna be ok child" she said engulfing me in a hug, "yeah yeah you're right" I said snapping out of my self pity zone.

A" It 6:30 the driver is ready to pick you up, why don't you take a shower and I'll prepare your out fit" She said urshing me  to the bathroom.

I don't even know what family love is ,my parents  are hardly around, Jas and raven are the only people who love me genuinely even people in school love me either for my looks or that I'm super rich.

" We're there sir"the driver called, Nate my assistant got down from the car . The house was indeed beautiful,it was painted creme and brot. Nate pressed the door bell and a beautiful lady who seems to be in his late thirties opened the door, they stood there smiling , "gosh! I'm dum struck with you two handsomeness" I teased," oh common , thank you please come in" the lady said blushing really hard paving way for me to pass.

" Welcome to our humble abode, I'm Kelly and this is My husband Marcus and our son Maison" she introduced , I shook both of them hand until I got to see their son ,woah! " Omg can't believe it , can't believe you two are  the parent of the very well known CEO Maison," hey man" Maison greeted shaking my hand. chuckles " wait until you see our daughter she's so much beautiful than him" Mr Norwich said  and Maison chuckled,  chuckling " yeah? He said , " Maison " Mrs Norwich called angrily, " ok why don't we sit" Mr Norwich said  dragging the chair for me to sit.
