Warm rays of sunlight flood Jungkook's office while the large, tilt-up window lets in fresh summer air. Now and then, the gentle breeze carries the scent of lavender, growing in the garden directly across the street.
Focused, Jungkook draws one line after another to further refine the latest assembly drawing for his client. He's pleased with today's work, having accomplished more than he had originally set out to do. Drawing has always had a calming effect on him and has been among his greatest hobbies since childhood. For this reason, he loves his job as a technical draftsman. In his home office he can split working time as he likes. It's only important that the results are delivered in good quality and within the agreed timeframe.
Jungkook's gaze keeps wandering to the silver watch on his left wrist. It reflects the daylight and leaves shimmering patterns on the white wall at the slightest hand movement.
It's about time to pick up Yuna from kindergarten. For this reason, he gets up from his chair and leaves his office desk messy. There are numerous sketches stacked on top of each other, several pencils, an eraser, set squares, and a calculator. The cup of coffee on the side is still half full. It has grown cold by now, as Jungkook was too engrossed in his work process. But no matter how focused he may be, the handsome teacher from the Rainbow Kindergarten keeps creeping into his thoughts. No matter how hard he tries to think of something else...he just can't.
[Kindergarten]
Every time Jungkook approaches Yuna's kindergarten, his heart goes crazy. It bounces around wildly as if it's about to jump out of his chest at any moment. It's all because of Taehyung, and in fact, Jungkook catches himself having the wish to talk to him again.
This time, he enters the kindergarten through a door that's already open. Today, no one surprises him at the entrance and he doesn't quite know whether he should like it or not. He looks around curiously, searching for Yuna...and for her teacher. When he doesn't find either of them, he decides to take a look into the tiger group.
Suddenly, he notices a soft, deep sound that abruptly stops him from his plan. This unmistakable voice can only be Taehyung. At the other end of the long hallway, he indeed emerges from a room accompanied by a young, dark-haired woman. Together they walk slowly toward Jungkook, so engrossed in their conversation that they don't even look in his direction.
A quick glance around the empty tiger group is enough to Jungkook to understand that most of the children are probably playing outside. But that also means he has to pass Taehyung to get into the garden. Whether this is bad luck or good luck is a matter of opinion. However, Jungkook secretly hopes that Taehyung will notice him as he passes by. Therefore, he decides to greet him normally. After all, that's what almost all parents do, so it's no big deal.
"Hello, Mr. Kim."
"Oh, Mr. Jeon. Hello, Yuna is playing outside."
Taehyung stops in his tracks, looking not only surprised but also tensed. Jungkook misses his smile as their eyes meet.
"Hello, my name is Myōi Mina. So, you're Yuna's father! It's a pleasure to meet you. I take care of the tiger group together with Taehyung and another colleague."
