Talia could only watch in horror as Steve was dragged through the gate to the Upside Down, the girl desperately swimming after him but unable to catch up. Without giving herself a chance to talk herself out of it, she kicked her legs faster and pushed herself through the gate.

She gasped for air as she surfaced on the other side, her hands clawing at the dry ground as she pulled herself into the Upside Down. Her head frantically whipped around, Talia desperately searching her surroundings for Steve. When her eyes finally landed on him, relief flooded her veins and she rushed over to him.

Steve panted heavily as he stood from the ground, back bloodied from being dragged across the rough surface. Worry filled him as he locked eyes with Talia.

"You shouldn't have came after me, T," He mumbled when she reached him, her cold hands gripping on to his arm as she wildly glanced around. She was terrified, and so was he.

Her breath hitched as thunder echoed out, red flashes lighting up the sky. She tried to control her panic, hardening her eyes as she looked up at him, "You would have came after me." Red lightning crackled through the sky, a distant screech following it.

Talia and Steve whipped their heads around, fear flooding Talia's veins as a bat-like creature appeared in the sky. It was giant, much larger than the bats that roamed their world. Her grip tightened on Steve's arm, the pair slowly backing up as the creature continued on its path towards them. Another demented cry caught their attention, eyes moving to catch sight of another bat swooping towards them in the air. More and more shrieks pierced the air as multiple bats appeared practically out of thin air.

Steve's frantically searched their surroundings, dragging Talia with him as he darted towards a broken down boat that lay beneath a web of vines. He snatched an oar from the boat before pushing Talia closer to it, his eyes bearing into hers as he spoke, "Stay down."

Talia reluctantly nodded and hunched down as much as she could, Steve not bothering to wait before spinning around and swatting one of the creatures away from him as it swooped down. The Wheeler girl's heart raced as she watched with wide eyes as Steve was overpowered by the bats, unable to defend himself as they attacked from all angles.

Adrenaline filled her as she stood, rushing towards Steve as one of the bats wrapped its long tail around his neck and began choking him.

"Oh, my god! Oh, my god!" She shrieked as she began stomping her bare foot onto the creature with its tail around his neck, fear motivating her actions as two more bats swooped down and latched onto Steve's torso. His hands desperately swatted at them, panicked yells escaping as he tried defending himself. Talia moved before her brain could process it, roughly kicking the bat closest to her as it tried to bite back into Steve's flesh.

Unfortunately, she was too preoccupied to notice the bat that had approached from behind her. A strangled noise escaped her lips as a thin tail snaked around her neck and she was yanked backwards. Her screams echoed through the air as another tail joined the first, tightening painfully around her neck until she could barely breath. Talia struggled against their force as they began dragging her further and further from Steve. She could only watch helplessly as Steve writhed on the ground, choked sounds breaking through her lips as her hands desperately clawed at her neck.

Talia felt lightheaded as the creatures grips never faltered, unable to think as panic and pain flooded her senses. These things were taking her somewhere. A sense of relief filled her as she caught sight of three figures rushing towards Steve and her, just barely able to make out the faces of Nancy, Robin, and Eddie. She heard a angered shriek from above her as Nancy roughly smacked one of the bats off of Steve's torso.
