"Finally! You're here!" Hermione said, hugging Harry and Neville. "There have been rumours going around saying that you guys flew a car here and got expelled."

"We didn't get expelled." Harry said.

"I told you not to worry Hermione." Lyra said, rolling her eyes.

"Wait, so you didn't fly the car either, did you?" Skye asked.

"Well..." Harry said.

Hermione and Skye looked at the two, their jaws practically on the floor.

"You're going to need to explain this." Skye said.

"Well basically," Neville started. "We were at Kings Cross and we were the last Hogwarts students there. We decided to go together to save time but when we tried to cross, the barrier was closed. We just slammed into it."

"Are you sure it was the right entrance?" Hermione asked.

"Yes. We watched everyone go through before us and they were fine." Harry said. "We didn't know what to do so Neville suggested we wait at the car before I realised that Mum and Dad and the other adults wouldn't be able to come back to Kings Cross."

"So Harry said we should fly the car to Hogwarts."

"So that's what happened." Harry said.

"Something about that isn't adding up. How does the barrier suddenly just close?" Hermione asked. "It doesn't make sense."

"I don't know. But it happened. You do believe us, don't you?"

"We can talk about this later. The feast is starting." Skye said. They all went to their house tables and sat down. A few minutes later, the food appeared.

It was a spread. The Hogwarts Feasts were always extravagant, But nothing they had seen compared to this. Neville and Harry Looked towards Ron. He basically had hearts in his eyes. No one knew what made Ron happier, food or Skye. Probably food. The tables were filled with warm, delicious food. Roast beef, roast chicken, boiled and roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, peas, carrots and gravy! And of course, desserts. Enough to feed 1000 Hippogriffs! There was barely any room for there plates as the full table was packed with meals. Somehow, within one hour, all the food was gone. At around 8pm, everyone went up to their common rooms. Harry and Neville walked in and were instantly applauded, presumably due to their 'grand entrance'. Ginny followed in shortly after, guided by the house prefects with the other first years and all of them were in awe.

The Gryffindor Common Room was where most Gryffindor students spent their time. It was a large room with big couches and a fireplace that was always lit during the cold months so that they stayed warm. There were large banners with orange G's and lions. It was always packed with people studying, talking to their friends, playing games and reading. There were paintings of famous people who were in Gryffindor on the walls, including Godric Gryffindor, Albus Dumbledore and Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington (more commonly known as Nearly Headless Nick). There was a big window on one side to let light in. There was a small couch and armchair near the window that Neville and Harry usually sat on. Neville went upstairs to the dorm

"Hey, Ginny! So you got sorted into Gryffindor?" Harry asked.

"Yeah. I'm really happy about it!" Ginny replied. "But I wish Luna and Lyra were in the same house as me."

"What house are they in?"

"They both got into Ravenclaw."

"Nice. It's lucky that they have Draco and Hermione but, you have me and Neville to help you through Hogwarts. And, as for being in seperate houses, I wouldn't worry about that. I'm sure you'll still be really close, like me and the others." Harry reassured her.

"Thanks, Harry." She smiled. "I'm going to go sleep now. The train ride was so long and boring."

They said bye and Ginny walked to the girls dorm with a few other first years.

"Hey Neville!" Harry waved Neville over.

"Hi Harry."

"Why do you look so scared?" Harry asked.

"Well it's just. Last year was crazy. I'm scared that something will happen again."

"Don't worry. We killed You-Know-Who when we killed Quirrel."

"Yeah. Who do you reckon will replace Quirrel as the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher?"

"I don't care, as long as it's not Snape."

"Haven't you guys heard? Or were you too busy flying a car?" A group of boys from the third year approached them.

"Heard what?" Harry asked, ignoring the comment.

"There's a rumour going around that the new Defence teacher is some famous wizard."

"Really?"

"Yeah. And based off the book list they probably love Lockhart."

"Lockhart?"

"You don't know who Lockhart is? Maybe you should pick up a book instead of trying to get attention by flying a car. Famous little Neville, the 'chosen one' couldn't handle going on the train like every other common wizard could he? Why the long face, Longbottom? Too bad mummy isn't here to protect you now." They laughed.

Harry was about to say something back but Neville stopped him and the two walked up to their dormitories.

Harry managed to fall asleep almost immediately but Neville, despite how exhausted he was, wasn't able to sleep all night. What if You-Know-Who came back? He had somehow managed to get away the first time but would he be able to again? After all, this was the most powerful wizard known, apart from Dumbledore of course, and he was just a small 12 year old boy. And it doesn't help that everyone's talking about him flying that car. Did they really think that they were just trying to get attention? Would anyone believe them not being able to get through the barrier? Why would they? After all, if someone else had told him that, would he believe them? Of course he wouldn't! Neville lay awake staring at the ceiling, dreading the following morning  when they would receive their punishment.
