Hermione's P.O.V (Current Time)

I lay awake, staring at the night sky (it wasn't real, of course, as stated in Hogwarts, A History), thinking about everything I had seen. I couldn't believe that was what would actually happen in a few years time. As I saw my friends sleeping peacefully, it suddenly dawned on me that everything that would happen wouldn't be a surprise. I already knew what was going to happen. I would never get the huge moment where I was in shock that something good, or bad, had happened. I would spend ages dreading that something would happen. All because of the time turner. I couldn't keep using it. I was basically throwing my  life away. I checked that no one was here, before removing the protective charms on the drawer and taking out my time turner. As I took it out, my Transfiguration book fell onto the floor, waking up Luna.

"Hermione? Why are you up? Are you sleep-walking? I do that too. That's why I wear shoes to bed."

"No. I just couldn't sleep so I was going to do some reading."

"Ok. I'm quite tired right now, so I don't think I'll stay up with you, but I do sleep read sometimes, so maybe tomorrow." Luna lay back down, as I let out a sigh of relief. I grabbed my old Potions book that I hadn't used in ages, and turned to the middle page. I could hide the time turner in here, until I figured out a better place to keep it. I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep so I decided to do some of my work. At least then I wouldn't be completely lying.

Neville's P.O.V

"Hey Neville!" Skye yelled out. "Why aren't you coming to dinner?"

"Harry and I have detention today."

"Oh, yeah. Maybe it won't be so bad? Do you know who your detention is with?"

"Lockhart."

"Or maybe it will be so bad."

"Well, Harry has it with Filch, so I consider being with Lockhart lucky." Skye laughed.

"I'll talk to my dad and see if he can change your detention to be with Hagrid."

"I don't think McGonnagal would agree with that."

"True. I don't want to be late for the feast so, have fun with your detention." She ran towards Hermione and walked into the Great Hall as I walked upstairs to Lockharts office.

"Hello Mr Longbottom! Come in, come in. I've been waiting for your arrival." Lockhart said in his insufferable voice.

"Hi Professor." I responded, sitting down.

"Well, well. It seems you've gotten a taste of being famous. Gone straight to your head, has it?" I stared at him with a blank face. "I understand. Before I became a celebrity, I was desperate to have people know my name. But you must wait it out."

"I'm sorry, Professor, but what are you talking about?" I asked.

"You, flying the car. Last year, as I understand it, you got a little noticed, what with you getting that rock. And it went to your head. You flew a car here so that everyone would notice you. But you have got to earn it. Have you read my book, Year with a Yeti? It's one of my most recognised works, but it wasn't easy. I spent a year of my life researching and spending time with a Yeti. It wasn't fun, nor was it easy. And what about Break with a Banshee? The banshee didn't just come up to my doorstep and wish that I would banish it! I had to fight for it. And that's the same for you too. If you want to be as famous as me one day, you must work for it!"

"Professor, I didn't fly the car to be noticed. The barrier had closed and-!"

"Yes, yes Neville. I understand," He winked. "Now let's get to the nitty gritty work. Now, young Neville, for the next two weeks,  you will be helping me with a task. Answering my fan mail. I know that may sound very easy, but believe me, trying to write a letter to my many, many fans that makes them feel special is quite challenging. Of course, by now, I'm used to it. Now, let's get to it." He went into his cupboard and picked up a huge box filled with letters.
