Then all of a sudden he was calling for his dad and elder brother. The two came running, out of breath and stopped short as they saw the girl.

"Well don't just stand there! move this buck so that we can check to see if the girl is even alive!" Allen almost yelled at his brother and father. Who, with their trance broken, came over.  Allen shook his head and turned back to the girl. She looks like she's around my age Allen thought.

"Hey dad, can you check to see if she has any broken bones?"

"Sure son, but first lets get her back to the house"

"Is she even breathing?!" exclaimed Adam looking at the girl that was mostly covered in blood, mud, and lots of scars. Allen checked her pulse in her neck and very faintly felt a pulse, but it was weak and was slowing fast.

"She's alive but wont be anymore if we keep talking like this while she's dying" Allen said to his brother.

'Well then we should quickly get her home" Said their dad in an order like tone. Allen quickly picked up the girl expecting her to be heavy but she was actually as light as a feather. The Walker boys moved as quickly as the forest allowed them to, which wasn't as fast as they would have preferred. They reached the old truck and their dad quickly helped load the girl into the truck then the three climbed into the truck and shut the doors just as the car was starting to back up.

"Allen! put the girls upper body propped up to lessen the flow of the blood coming out of that big gash on her forehead!" Said their dad Torrey as he almost fish tailed onto the highway and pushed the old truck to the max of the speed limit. Allen obeyed his fathers command and propped the girl up. It was then that he realized she had a band aid on her right hand that covered up the back hand. They reached there home in record time. Their Mother and little sister were up and making breakfast when Allen came running in carrying the girl in his arms.

"Hey mom! why is big brother Allen carrying a dirty girl in his arms?" Allen's little sister Angela said with wide eyes. Allen's mom turned around and took one look at the girl and then said to Allen's sister to clear the table. Angela did as she was told. Allen carefully put the girl on the table as his dad and brother came in the door out of breath.

"how is she doing?" asked Adam looking worried at his mom.

"I'm gonna need you boys to step out of the room, before I answer that question" answered their mother as she started to unbutton the girls shirt.

The three Walker boys left the room obediently and waited outside in the living room. At one point Angela came out running out to go get some clothes for the girl, and then they were called in. Their sweet moms hands were covered in blood, and she had got out her old nursing kit used for first aid. Allen hurried over to the girl and saw that she was sweating and in an obvious amount of pain. Allen's mom asked him and his brother to hold the girl down. And it was then that they saw the two bullets in the girls collarbone and back.

Allen saw that the bullet in the girls back was removed successfully but it was the one in the girls collarbone that his mom was having difficulty with. Allen's mom asked him and his brother to hold the girl down and the boys obeyed. The girl started to groan in pain as Allens mom pulled harder on the bullet. Allen quickly adjusted his hold on the girls arms and he saw his brother do the same with her legs. After a couple of antagonizing minutes the bullet was successfully removed.  There mother finally sat back and sighed a sigh of relief. She accepted a towel from her husband and wiped off the blood from her hands.

"Honey, can you put this poor girl in the guest room?" Our mother asked.

"sure, darling" answered our father as he picked up the girl and walked out of the room.
