Drunk and lost

    (Beth survives in the hospital and is on the road with the group to Alexandrea) 

(Okay I ship Beth and Tara. I don't care what yall think. In my mind Beth is a Lesbian, even though she did date men Idc. If you don't like it idc. I think they would be amazing together)

POV: Beth

She's been broken. Left alone, she fought her way out with no one to help her. She's learned, she doesn't need anyone but herself. She wants the affection she was had, the relationships she knew before. How could anyone want her now that she's broken. No one will be able to put back the shattered pieces she left behind. Once she left, she didn't say a word about that place. She walks aimlessly looking for some sort of purpose, they all do. They all need somewhere to call home, somewhere to be safe.

Stomachs rumble, walkers growl and groan not too far behind. Everyone is exhausted from the everlasting road ahead. No one knows what lies ahead of them, they just have to hope it's something worth all their pain.

Beth didn't know what to think anymore. Daryl had told her what had happened. He told her how Maggie was just going to leave her and go to DC. She didn't talk to Maggie much after that. There were a few chats, but other than that Beth stayed with Daryl. She knew she could trust him. After everything that happened between them, they knew each other better than Beth thought she knew her sister.

Beth wouldn't leave Daryl's side, after what had happened at the hospital, what that man tried to do to her. Beth knew she was safe with him. Sometimes when they would leave to look for any supplies or any sort of drinking water, they would just sit an chill together. Most of the time they would come back empty handed, but before they came back, they would simply find a spot and sit. Beth would gently rest her head on his shoulder. And Daryl was okay with that. He was happy to have her home with the rest of the group. Beth was a little sister to him, he was never going to let anything get between them again.

Beth shared little details about the hospital, Daryl never pressured her to say more than she was comfortable with. Daryl was so proud of how she never stopped fighting her way out of there, the Beth that sat beside him now was a totally different person now. Beth would tell him how the place was ran and what the people were like. But Beth wasn't ready to share what she had gone through. All the physical pain and mental pain, Beth knew she didn't deserve any of it. Deep down she knew it wasn't her fault.

At first Beth was hesitant to meet the new folks who Rick had brought in. But little by little she began talking to every one of them. Beth had thought Abraham and Rosita had been a thing more than once. She didn't really like Eugene much, just because he was too nerdy for her. Then there was Gabrial, Beth liked that he still believed in God. But he could be a bit much at times. The last one she met was Tara, she came off as a lost soul. She was distant to the group she came with but even more distant to the rest of the group. She was very sweet and funny, she even briefly talked about her girlfriend who had passed. Tara being a Lesbian now isn't something Beth would really think about. There was so much more to be thinking about than falling in love.

Beth had always dreamt of falling in love, it just never happened to her. She had boyfriends in the past, not many but she still had them. They just never felt right for her, it wasn't that they didn't treat her right. It's that Beth never felt as if she was in love with them.

Beth thought everything happened so fast, it just seemed like they had found the barn to stay in. Then Maggie had found Aaron, then Aaron had brought them to the gates of Alexandria.

So, there they stood, looking up at the gates that towered over them with guards watching them. Beth knew this was going to be something for them. This was going to be the place they had been looking for all along.
