"The number of atoms in a single person is almost too big to write out. So don't you ever, for even one second, feel small." - R. M. Broderick

She
walked into the coffee shop
with her favourite backpack,
the winds from the outside
making the bells chime above her.
The crisp aroma of the coffee beans,
filled her senses with glee,
as she halted in her tracks,
when the familiar grey eyes of her boss,
dolled up in a blue dress met her.
She seized a breath,
knowing what was coming.
Judgements.
They should've known better;
that she was tired,
tired of this life,
only giving her more
reason to give up.
The lady in blue,
didn't have to say anything
for the petite girl to know.
After all,
it was the same routine
every single day.
Serving, waiting tables,
getting judged before paid,
then returning home
after a good day of work.
And despite the fact that
her mood had fell,
drastically,
she couldn't ignore the tiny voice
inside her
as she placed her bag
on the spick and span counter top
of the coffee shop.
This day would be different.
