The days went past like lazy pine tree sloths.

Emily couldn't wait anymore.

Her mind had told her

something good would happen.

And it was always right.

Like that time she thought

her mom would regain her health

and she would be okay.

Or the time her father

brought her that dress she

only had the luck to window shop.

She just knew.

And it was always right.

Yet,

for the very first time

in all the twenty two years

of her existence,

it seemed to be wrong.

But just as soon as

Emily

reluctantly

turned around the corner

to head to the cafè,

something,

something wonderful

caught her

little brown specked eyes.

And all of a sudden,

she knew.

Her mind.

It was right all along.

Because there in front of her

laid her difference.
