Chapter 62

Caterina's P.O.V

I drove to my house and helped her inside. I had to use elevator that is in my garage to take her up as there are too many stairs from the front and I won't be able to take her.

I took her in her room and put her on the bed. I took off her shoes and cover her.

After glancing at her last time I switched off the light and went outside. It seems that something bad happened to her. I guess that client of ours got to know about her and Eric relationship.

I took out the bottle from the fridge and started drinking it. I was tired, it was a hectic day today. I was drinking when the bell rang.

I put the bottle down and went to open the door. It was Ivan. He gave me the keys of Kim's car and looked at me. It seems he had something to tell. After taking my keys I went inside and sat on the sofa. Ivan followed me and sat infront of me.

"You have to say", I asked him taking the bottle and started drinking again.

"Yes. What are you gonna do about kelly ", he asked. I look up at him and stared for sometime and then shrugged my shoulder.

"I won't do anything. Its her and that spy that have to do whatever they want",I said to him putting the bottle down.

"Hmm. I have something else to say", Ivan said sitting upright. I guess its something serious.

"What", I asked looking at him.

"Be aware of that Lily", he said with all the seriousness in his voice.

"You know about her. Wait of course you knew. Don't worry she's not a threat to me. I don't need to care about her. But about that boss of mine I need to think something ", I said to him standing up and going in the kitchen. Ivan followed me.

"You shouldn't let your guard down. She is not that simple", he said pitting his hand inside his pants pocket.

I looked at him and then sighed. "Don't worry she can't do much of me. Don't forget who was I taught by", I said looking at him.

"I know but still", he said.

"Chill. I don't think she would dare or even if she I won't let her off", I said to him searching through cabinets to get something to eat as I am in no mood to make something.

"You know there was this man. He was 29 years old and a very good fighter and killer but unfortunately he was defeated by a 10 year old girl. Because he thought she won't be a threat to him. And do you know what the girl said to him after winning.  She said that the moment you thought I am not a threat and look down at me at that moment only you lost", he said looking directly at me. I know this thing because it was me only who had said this.

Now that I think indeed I am doing the very same mistake that, that old man did that time.

I looked at him and didn't said anything just nodded. I have really been taking things too lightly these days.

"Do you want me to cook something ", he asked looking at the chips packet in my hand.
I laughed looking at it and shake my head.

"No I am not that hungry. You should go home before that women call me and give me a hell lot of lecture for keeping you here", I said to him smiling to which he smiled back.

Ivan doesn't smile much. Heck he doesn't even show any emotion other than that blank look. But nowadays he smiles a little, little but he does smile.

"You have changed you know. Nowadays thankfully you smile like a human instead of an emotionless machine. And lets not forget that now you speak in sentences instead of words. You do know that because of you I have become very good in sign languages and reading people faces", I said to him smiling.

I remember how he never used to speak more than 2 or 3 words. I had to actually urge him to say more. Even then also oy one or two words he would speak. At last I just tried to understand his body language and face expression. At that time he was not so good in hiding his facial expression. So yeah but now he speak like a normal human which is good. Thanks to that chatterbox wife of his. I remember there first meeting.

"Isn't it good. It helps alot in dealing with people", he said again with that blank look on his face.

"Hmmm. True", I said to him. Indeed you need these kind of things is necessary in this world of ours because no one speak truth in this world of ours. They don't show what they actually are.

"Well I should get going. Take care and remember what I had said. That girl is not that simple", he said looking at me. I know what he is saying. He will find information about her or maybe he already had. But I don't want to pay attention to her, for now.

"I will. Its better for her to not mess up with me right now. But if she does, well she don't know what I will do", I said to him with cold eyes and blank look. Ya I can also pull that look😋.

"Hmm. So off I go", he said and then start walking outside to which I followed him. After seeing him off. I went to my room showered and went to bed. With a question in my mind that Whether sending kim back to her family and then to Damon's mafia group is good or not considering her present situation.
