Author's POV.

After solving another puzzle, which included finding a switch in a tree, they caught up to Susie and Lancer once again. This time, they were lazily laying in lounge chairs, two Rudinns fanning wind towards them. A third Rudinn was there aswell with a scared expression on his face. (Y/n) walked over to him. "Hey! Uhm, what's going on here?" She asked carefully. "S-Somehow, prince Lancer has made REAL friends with a lightner... S-Somebody should tell the king, immediately...! But, it's definitely not going to be me. Whoever breaks the news is gonna get wrecked!" He exclaimed and the girl felt bad for him. "Uhm, don't worry about it! We'll... uh... we'll do it! Yeah!" She said with a bit of uncertainty. The Rudinn jumped in surprise. "You will!? Don't you know what he will do?! He punishes anyone who dares bring him bad news!" (Y/n) huffed, crossing her arms. "I'm not afraid of that old crank, he can throw his temper tentrum all he wants for all I care!"

The Rudinn was still taken aback, not expecting such boltness from someone so young. "W-Wow... I never heard someone talk so bad about the king before... H-How comes you're this bolt?" He asked. "Because there's more to being a guard than just following orders. Our priority are the people who need protection."
The diamond guard got lost in thought. This young girl said this with so much determination, it amazed him. "If I may ask, why do you keep following the king of spades if you're so afraid of him?" Ralsei asked in curiosity, tilting his head to the side.

"We're following him BECAUSE we're afraid of him! Who knows what he'll do to us!" Rudinn exclaimed with fear. "Well, I think that's stupid." The guard was once again taken aback by the brave words of the girl. "B-But..." He trailed off. "No buts. It's stupid. We serve someone but that doesn't mean we can't have an opinion on what's right or wrong. And if orders go against our morels, we shouldn't follow them. We're guards! We protect..."

'Is it really that easy? Can we just NOT follow the spade kings orders? Who is this girl?... She seemes....familiar....' The young guard in front of him reminded him of someone but he couldn't place his finger on it.

The Rudinn kept his gaze on her as she and her companions went over to the dark fun gang, analysing her, thinking very hard about where he had seen her before. "So, er... ready to be a good guy again, Susie?" Ralsei asked, hope clearly in his tone of voice. "Nah, Gotta say being a bad guy is pretty sweet. Not only is it WAY more fun than being 'good'. But MY teamate's PROUD of what I do." She gave Lancer a quick fistbump before settling back down. "Earlier, Susie ate a pinecone off the floor. It gave her a terrible stomach-ache. It was VERY brave and cool." Lancer said. Susie gestured to him. "SEE??? Finally, some RESPECT!!!" She cheered and Lancer gave her thumbs up.

One of the fanning Rudinns caught sight of the fun gang and immediately whispered to get their attention. "L... Lightners! This girl's with you, r-right? Sh-She's forcing me to fan her...! Please get her under control!" He pleaded desperately. Susie, who was still laying in the lounge chair, turned her had with a mocking grin. "Nah, they're MY enemies actually. We split up 'cause I was too EVIL for 'em." She explained, giving a side eye towards Ralsei, who avearded her gaze, still feeling guilty about what he had said to Susie a while ago. (Y/n) scoffed and marched to Susie's side. "Oh, that's not what Ralsei meant and you know it! You just don't want to admit you're wrong, so you put the blame on him!" She scolded while Susie just stared at her with a bored expression.

"Oh please, I only did what I think is right, not my fault you all have a stick up your ass..." The bully said, relaxing back into her chair before she turned to the Rudinn fanning her. "And who said you could stop!? Better put more effort into it, or else..." At the last part, she fletched her teeth and gestured to her axe which was leaning near-by. The Rudinn panicked and fanned as fast as he could, mouthing "H-Help! Help me! I don't wanna fan forever!"
