- BANG! BANG!
It takes a lot of self-control to stay in this room, all Pete hears is the deafening sounds of gunshots. After waking up from the hospital a month ago, this is the first time he stepped inside the training ground but it felt as if a boulder was weighing down on his chest.
He already went through the physical test but for some reason, he's finding it hard to deal with guns. Pete can proudly say that his skills are still the best among the rest but inside, he's struggling. Whenever he pulls the trigger and it makes a loud bang, it reverberates inside his head. Whenever the bullet makes a crashing noise as it hit the targets, his heart skips a beat. It feels like something's rubbing on his nerves and it makes him suffer. He feels strange. Anxious.
If he's being honest right now, Pete would say he wants to run away – maybe not totally leave but at least, just a short break to compose himself. But what can he do? He's meant to be in this place
Or is he? During training, he never felt this way before! So, WHAT CHANGED?
"Pete!"
His thoughts were cut off by a call. For some reason, Tankhun is inside the training grounds – his young master's least favorite area.
"Khun Noo!" He waved at him.
"My sweet boy, they said you were here since 6 a.m.!"
"I'm trying to wake up earlier like I used to."
"Hmm... but it's now past seven! Who the fuck let you stay here for over an hour? Is it Chan?" Then Tankhun roamed his vision, looking for the said man. "I told everyone that from now on, you will spend less time in this sweaty place. Over-exertion is not good for your body. I will talk to him for you."
Although Pete was tempted to stop training... he shouldn't accept it at the first mention or he'll appear as if he's taking advantage of his kindness.
His young master has always been attached and clingy to his bodyguards but recently, he's not as bitchy as he was towards him. He knows Tankhun is a loving person behind his bratty attitude, he even said he loves Pete the most because he's fun to be with but he doesn't show it to this extent.
Pete scratches the back of his head. Nowadays, the family keeps showering him with love. Before they did treat him well, he was often the one who earns the most trust from everyone but right now? It's a bit different... almost like love bombing.
WHAT HAPPENED?
"I'm good with it, Khun Noo. I've been resting for over a month. I have to get back on track again."
"I know but you don't have to exhaust yourself too much." Tankhun dusted off some imaginary dirt on his tracksuit. "Take a rest. We'll go out later."
"Khun Noo, the sun's still up. Bars open during the nighttime." He concluded this as his young master never wanted to leave the house, except when he's gonna party at Jay Yok's bar.
Tankhun laughed, raising a hand dramatically. "We are going to the temple. Blessed will be the ones who make merits and listen to the sermons. I will have you be showered by good and serene energies so certain pests won't be able to get near you."
"Certain pests?"
"People with dark energies who have ill intent, of course! You must be careful of those. Most of them look so good on the outside but so bad on the inside."
His words are clear but Pete can't understand a single thing.
"Also—" Tankhun added, raising a finger. "I had an intel that Dr. Top will be there."
