I woke up remembering that I needed to report to Hokages office first thing in the morning, but I was already running a little behind. As I was walking in the village, I saw a little boy and his grandmother needing some assistance and decided I should help them even if I was late in the process. When they were helped, I returned to my walk toward the office realizing I was already late at this point. Walking in I took a look at my team and bowed a little. "Sorry... There was a old lady and a boy who needed help and... you know what, it doesnt matter." I looked off a differnet direction trying to avoid Sakura's harsh staring.
Lady Tsunade had her eyes gently closed and her fist intertwined on the desk, "It's nice of you to join. Please take your place." I️ bowed to Lady Tsunade and took my place beside Sakura.
"Hokage-sama? Where is Kakashi sensei?" Sakura asked.
"Kakashi won't be attending. As you know, Jonin also have missions to take care of. Therefore, you four will be doing this mission on your own. This is a B-ranked mission. You will be escorting an important figure.
"Important?"
"It could become an A-ranked mission if you run into trouble..."
"And, who are we protecting?" Sasuke stared blankly as always.
"I️ don't know." I was left somewhat puzzled by her response, not entirely sure what to make of it.
"Wait, Whaddaya mean ya don't know??" Naruto asked as confused as us. She started to explain our neighboring nation, the Land of Tea.
"Did someone attack these guys? Who was it?"
"Yea, I️ don't think I️ am following the story here."
She dismissed us and told us to get more details from Boss Jirocho. I️ was asked to stay behind for a moment. "Hikari. Right?" I️ nodded, "I️ want you to know your mother's land is not too far from where you will be heading. It's just north. When you return from the mission, I️ will be more than willing to point you in the right direction for some training."
I️ had tears in my eyes. "Really?"
She nodded, "You better get going. Your mission requires all of you to be there by the end of the day."
I️ smiled and bowed. "Thank you." I closed the door behind me, and a burst of excitement made me squeal a bit. The prospect of embarking on this journey had me eagerly anticipating the truth that awaited. My determination surged as I resolved to complete this mission efficiently.
Back at home, I began packing some essentials, knowing I'd be meeting the others at the main gate. As we walked along the path toward the Land of Tea, it felt like we'd been trekking for days, even though it had only been a few hours, at most, since we'd set out. My stomach couldn't contain its protests any longer, and I held it, trying to stifle the growls. Sasuke noticed and clicked his tongue disapprovingly. Naruto seemed to hear it too but mistakenly thought it to Sakura.
"Hey Sakura, ya hungry?" she thought for a second, putting a finger to her chin.
"Now that you mention it... Yea, I️ guess I️ am a little hungry." Naruto smiled and pointed at an upcoming tea house before running off.
"NARUTO!?" Me and Sakura yelled out.
I️ chuckled to myself, "He's always getting into some trouble." I couldn't help but facepalm, feeling a bit embarrassed by the situation, and I turned to my side. There, I noticed Sakura staring at me, her expression a mix of curiosity and amusement. "Do I️ have something on my face?" She shook her head.
